This university was established (Varanasi Hindu University Act, Act No. 16, 1915) by Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya in the year 1916 on the holy day of Basant Panchami . According to the documents, Madan Mohan Malviya's contribution in the establishment of this university was only as a general founding member, Maharaja Rameshwar Singh of Darbhanga donated the necessary resources in the establishment of the university. Founded and run by Dr. Annie Besant at the core of this universityThe Central Hindu College had a major role. The University has the status of "Institution of National Importance".

The Ramnagar kila :- The sandstone structure was built in the Mughal style in 1750 by Kashi Naresh Maharaja Balwant Singh. At present, the fort is not in a good shape. The current king and the resident of the fort is Anant Narayan Singh, who is also known as the Maharaja of Benares even though this royal title has been abolished since 1971.

Stepped into this city today morning and everything feels so magical..
Yesterday after returning home from hospital I was a bit low and was searching for a good place to have a short trip. Planned our trip suddenly in the evening, packed quickly and boarded the train within 2 hours! We even booked our hotel 1 hour before reaching Varanasi while still in the train!
will probably never get bored or tired with this crazy life..
