I had the most delightful afternoon with my dear friend Courtney at the Courtyard Tea Room inside the stunning Boston Public Library!
From the moment we sat down, we were treated to an elegant selection of bites, starting with an Amuse Bouche of Carrot Three Ways, followed by the most delicious warm scones with winter spice apple butter and Devonshire cream. The savory offerings were just as exquisite—think Smoked Norwegian Salmon with whipped lemon ricotta, Caviar Tartlets, Roasted Beet Boursin, and even Duck Rillette with cranberries and fennel pollen. And of course, the sweets stole the show—Alfajores, French Macarons, Millionaire Shortbread, Eggnog Éclairs, and Artisanal Chocolates, just to name a few!
Each of us enjoyed our own personal pot of tea, making the experience feel extra special. The ambiance, the service, and the food were all top-notch—a truly fancy and unforgettable experience. If you’re looking for a charming tea service in Boston, I highly recommend this gem! ☕✨ #AfternoonTea #BostonPublicLibrary #CourtyardTeaRoom
If you're looking for a treat that’s pure indulgence, you have to try the Dubai Chocolate Strawberries from The Nuts Factory in Boston! For just under $20, this dessert is an absolute steal. It starts with a fresh, juicy strawberry, layered with creamy pistachio cream, followed by a warm, velvety chocolate sauce. Then, a second layer of pistachio cream adds richness, and it’s all crowned with light, crunchy kataifi for the perfect texture contrast. I opted for dark chocolate, and it was the perfect choice—rich and satisfying, without overwhelming the delicate flavors. Every bite is a symphony of fresh, creamy, crispy, and decadent. You’ll want to savor every moment. Head to The Nuts Factory at 118 Newbury Street in Boston and treat yourself to this viral sensation. You won’t regret it! #DubaiChocolateStrawberries #TheNutsFactory #BostonEats #DecadentDesserts
Kevin and I were on the hunt for lunch in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and my Google search led us to Hap’s Roast Beef, located at 2222 Lafayette Road.
Have you been to Hap’s? If you have, let me know your thoughts in the comments.
Now, here’s the star of the show from their Signature Beefy Menu: The Bang. It features mayo, horseradish, onion rings, American cheese, and of course, James River BBQ Sauce. I made a mistake and ordered the regular size when I should have gone for the junior size! They also offer Super and Super Duper sizes!
Kevin ordered the classic fried chicken sandwich, which is served with lettuce, tomato, Hap’s sauce, and American cheese. He found the chicken to be overcooked, while I thought the breading was flavorful and a little on the spicy side.
We also split an order of Hap’s House Fries, their signature fries seasoned with herbs and garlic, topped with parmesan cheese, and served with a side of Hap’s sauce. I thoroughly enjoyed these and would definitely order them again.
I ordered a chocolate frappe; while it wasn't very chocolaty, it was tasty nonetheless!
When I went to use the bathroom, it felt like I had stepped into a completely different restaurant—very fancy! While chatting with the cashier, she informed us that they plan to renovate the entire restaurant to match the bathroom decor. I can't wait to see that!

Kevin and I enjoyed our Thanksgiving Dinner at @fratelliencoreboston inside @encorebostonharbor casino in Everett, Massachusetts. The service is always wonderful there! All meals include bread, butter, olive oil, olives, and roasted garlic cloves. I had the classic Thanksgiving Dinner that came with salad, I chose the insalata(would order again), carved turkey, 2 kinds of cranberry sauce, green beans, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes (my favorite!), stuffing, a slice of cornbread, and gravy, it also came with a choice of pie, I'm not a pumpkin pie fan so I went with apple. Kevin got a giant portion of chicken parmesean with penne pasta and helped me eat the pie slice. The meal finished with complimentary Limoncello shots!
Burger King is offering some spooky and kooky limited-time treats this Halloween season with The Addams Family Favorites!
Let’s start with Wednesday’s Whopper – a Whopper topped with Swiss cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, mayonnaise, ketchup, pickles, and onions on a purple bun made from purple potato and black sesame seeds. The bun had a thick texture but tastes like the iconic Whopper.
Thing’s Rings – These are just the regular BK onion rings served in themed packaging. Unfortunately, mine were soggy and they forgot the zesty sauce. Come on BK, do better!
Gomez’s Churro Fries – Fried churros coated in cinnamon sugar and paired with chocolate dipping sauce. However, the flavors of the other fried foods that were cooked in the same oil seeped into these, and it didn’t taste good.
Morticia’s Kooky Chocolate Shake – Features creamy soft serve mixed with chocolate cake batter fudge and topped with black and purple cookie pieces. These shakes, in general, are not my favorite; they kind of taste like chemicals to me. I didn’t even notice the chocolate cake batter fudge; maybe it was forgotten or just well-blended. Overall, I regret eating all of these. I mean, I don’t even like BK.

Kevin took me to Lucky Cheetah for our anniversary dinner because I enjoy dim sum.
Lucky Cheetah is situated in the heart of the Old Port at 11 Moulton St, in the former location of the Old Port Tavern, which was a popular spot for locals. The decor is visually striking, with the vibe of a high-end bar in a bigger city. The music is quite loud, making it challenging to have conversations.
Looking at the cocktail menu made me miss drinking, but luckily Kevin still does. He ordered the Mai Tai,that was strong. They also offer a small non-alcoholic menu. I ordered the Fools Gold, which is essentially a yuzu lemonade and found it to be delicious. They also have some very pricey bottles of champagne.
Here’s what we ordered! We tried the Iberico soup dumplings, which were priced at $17 for 5 dumplings. They were tasty, although not as soupy as expected, which can happen with soup dumplings. I had read rave reviews about the Mojo Baby Corn, priced at $12 for a bowl filled with sweet and slightly spicy baby corn. Our waiter described the dish as addictive, and I completely agree! We also had the Wagyu Egg Rolls, priced at $21 for 2 egg rolls. Personally, I prefer to eat wagyu freshly seared and on its own, but we decided to give it a try anyway. They were okay, and I also enjoyed their version of duck sauce with the egg roll. We ordered 2 large dishes, which was unnecessary for 2 people unless you want leftovers (which I ended up enjoying later that evening). I ordered the OxTail Ho Fun priced at $37. While I enjoyed the dish, I couldn’t help but compare it to the beef and broad noodles at the other dim sum restaurant in the arts district of Portland. I felt that the noodles were lacking a bit of char or more browning, Kevin ordered the Zhou Chicken for $33, which was sweet, salty, crunchy, and deep-fried with a little zing! My first bite was too salty, but other pieces I tried were great. This was Kevin’s favorite dish. I found it odd that there was no rice served w
