When you travel you meet some amazing people. This man was one of the toughest i have met. Sasha lived all alone with a cat in the Kamchatka wilderness. Caretaker of the camp. When we got there we were the first humans he had seen in a year. One wrong move in that place and you are as dead as a duck. Except for the food we had brought with us that you could see that he missed, he was perfectly normal. A quiet and strong man.

Most hunters opt to also take a cow buffalo. As you can see the cows have long horns and make for a nice euro mount. There were two big cows in the herd and i decided to shoot the one with the worn down horn. That bulge is a bullet under the skin. Even the cows are tough beasts. Not many people know that India has wild lions. Called the Asiatic lion. They live in the Gir forest and the numbers are poor of control at the moment. Even in the good old days very few lions were hunted in India. And that too only by the Maharaja of that place. #huntersnetworks.

A crocodile needs some serious precision shooting as the spine or brain target is very small and the shot is normally taken from a dead rest. As the closest shot to this rock where the croc sunned itself was over 200 yards. I opted to do a drive by shooting from a boat! As he would have jumped into the water if the boat stopped. It worked out! Not sure if any crocs have been shot from a moving boat before! We had just spotted some huge crocs in the grass and pulled ashore to wait for them to come out. The local fishermen live amongst these beasts and often get eaten by them.
