My daughter and I came to Nashville to celebrate my daughter’s 16 birthday and to see a concert at the Ryman. The stay was incredible. The Four Seasons always delivers but a special shout out to Sean Fisher, our Guest Experience Manager, who went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay. When Sean asked us if there was anything he could do to make our stay more memorable, he wasn’t fazed by my request — can you help us meet the artist playing the Ryman? He jumped in right away to share intel only a Nashville Native would know. The result: a very satisfied 16-year-old who got to greet her favorite artist as he left the venue! Thank you, Sean, for making our weekend so very memorable and special! Can’t wait to come back to Nashville!

People ask me all the time about my favorite place to travel and the answer is always the same. Africa. There is no place like it. To share its magic is why I started Hedy Travel. Reviews like this make me smile. 😊. We are at this moment in the Johannesburg airport lounge awaiting our flight home to Atlanta in a few hours. While I am sad our vacation is over, I’m filled with gratitude and happiness for our time here together as a family and what can only be described as an absolutely magnificent trip, largely thanks to you. You arranged everything so perfectly, and you didn’t miss a single detail. The One & Only Cape Town was a beautiful hotel, and the Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge where we ended our trip was absolutely wonderful! It may be the nicest hotel – really more of a complete experience with the safaris, meals and incredible staff – that I’ve ever stayed in. My expectations for this trip were so high, and your selections and attention to every detail managed to exceed them.

Terranea … ahhhh!! Beautiful resort a short drive from LA with stunning views, delicious food, and luxurious accommodations, from casitas, bungalows, villas and hotel rooms with absolutely stunning views, Terranea Resort and Spa should be top of mind for a west coast getaway! Perfect alternative to Florida or Caribbean over festive. The pool is heated all year round. I couldn’t get enough of the views! Added bonus, seeing 100’s of dolphins swimming past at lunch and then a whale during at dinner! Thank you, for sharing your little slice of heaven with me for a night! Loved it!!

For such a small island country, Ireland offers a wealth of stunning properties! From traditional hotels to country lodges to stately manors to opulent castles, Ireland has them all! I was lucky to visit these stunning properties on my epic mother-daughter horses and castles road trip! Ireland raises the bar on hospitality – and that says a lot coming from a southerner! Yesterday was a day I’ll never forget. Thank you SO MUCH and for taking us behind the box (stall) to meet your stunning champion stallions and their adorable foals!
We were in absolute awe. A visit to Cashel should be on everyone’s bucket list, especially horse enthusiasts. The stunning Cashel Palace Hotel, with Rock of Cashel in its backyard and charming Cashel out its front door and 2 star Michelin restaurant Bishop’s Buttery has been a highlight of our epic Mother-Daughter Horses and Castles Ireland road trip! Snow and sleet in Dublin! Not a problem! The Irish hospitality warmed us up immediately. Day 1 started with a fabulous lunch at No. 27 at The Shelbourne. Best way to cure jet lag is with an espresso martini. EPiC museum was indeed EPIC —- bookstores galore that Ella couldn’t get enough of capped off with a delicious dinner at Hugo’s! Thank you for your gracious hospitality. Was the best place to start our mother-daughter “Horses and Castles” road trip in Ireland!

Morocco will forever hold a special place in my heart. I have been touched by the beauty of the country and its people. To me, travel is about connecting to others and reminds me that we are all the same no matter our history, customs, and religions. Having just returned from Morocco and being in Marrakesh during Friday nights strong earthquake, what I will remember most is the kindness of the Moroccan people. Even in the face of fear and uncertainty, the Moroccan’s showed grace, courage, and resilience. From our guides and drivers to the amazing hotel staff, to tea makers and shopkeepers, and to the random people I passed in the Medina offering a kind smile, I have been forever touched. Certainly, I was scared during and after the quake – worried about aftershocks and building structures. But, more than anything, I felt gratitude. I am grateful to have been in the care of the amazing staff at the beautiful Oberoi Marrakesh Hotel, our safe haven during and after the earthquake. I am grateful to , our preferred travel partner in Morocco and hosts for the week who made sure we were all okay and to their driver who showed up at 2:00am Sunday morning after a sleepless few nights to drive me 3 hours to Casablanca to make my flight home. I am also grateful to my friends, family and wonderful colleagues who sent messages to make sure I was safe. Fear will not be the emotion I carry when I think of Morocco; joy and gratitude will hold that space.
If Morocco isn’t on your bucket list, it should be! And if you are set to travel there in the next few months, don’t rethink your trip. The kind people of Morocco are waiting to welcome you with open arms.

They are fundraising both to repair their boarding houses and for emergency medical supplies and food for the rural communities. Donations can be made via credit card via the above link.
Banque Alimentaire Fundraiser: https://banquealimentaire.ma/en/ The Banque Alimentaire is a local food bank that works to distribute donations to populations in need. The money fundraised will go to providing food and supplies to communities who have been impacted by the earthquake. Donations can be made via credit card via the above link.
