MLJET NATIONAL PARK, our first marine protected area, has been delighting its many visitors with the colors and smells of pristine nature for 61 years. The entire area of the Park is extremely rich in life, and numerous endemic and endangered species testify to the importance of its protection. National Park Mljet will not disappoint cultural heritage lovers either, thanks to its numerous archaeological sites and the heritage of ancestors that exude old island settlements. Benedictine monastery located in one of the most beautiful locations in this area, the island of St. Mary in the Great Lake, is the most visited landmark of the National Park.
