The estuary behind the Cat Island Boathouse is natural mangrove forest teaming with sea turtles, rays, bonefish, starfish, egrets, osprey, baby grouper, etc. The Boathouse is located on 3 1/4 private acres which runs from the estuary (730 feet of frontage) to the ocean (235 feet of white sand beach). There is a path to the estuary to launch the kayaks and a sand path over the natural berm to our palapa on the beach.

He was given the land in 1783 for helping to protect and recapture Nassau, The Bahamas' capital, from the Spanish invasion and occupation.
