Just 2 weeks until we check into the new Island Tower at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort! This was one of my biggest projects while I was a Cast Member and I can't wait to see it come to life.

We're excited to eat at Wailulu, swim with Moana, and enjoy the walking path to the a Magic Kingdom now that it's reopened 🏰

Happy New Year!!

This photo is from December 30, 2019 at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. One of my best tips to clients traveling over the New Year holiday is to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks on December 30, rather than the 31st. They're the same!

The crowds still aren't light, by any means, but every little bit helps. And you can really skip the crowds by doing what I did and booking a reservation at the Polynesian so you can watch from the beach!

Disney Cruise Line dropped a couple of promotions today!! One that's pretty common but another that actually saves you money 🤑

First, the good ole "Only pay half of your deposit" promotion is back! This is extremely helpful, especially for larger parties, because the deposit for Disney cruises is significantly higher than you'd see for a park visit. Typically 20% of the cruise fare, that has been cut in half for select sailings booked through mid-March! It does not change your cruise total but it gives you more time to spread out those payments 🚢

Second, a true discount! This one is for Disney+ subscribers and will help you if you're sailing with more than 2 people, including children under the age of 18 👧👦
Specifically for select itineraries on the Disney Wonder, Disney Dream and Disney Wish (pictured below) you can save 50% for the 3rd and 4th guests, aged 17 and younger, booked in your stateroom! This promotions if available for sailings beginning January 3 through June 13 of next year. Honestly, this might just convince me to book a spring cruise on the Wish! It was awesome to sail beside it in September but a BIG part of wished (get it) that I was ON the Wish!

I love going to Disney during off-season periods to take advantage of lower crowds. Look how empty the Boardwalk is in the middle of the afternoon today!

Another indicator that crowds are low is that the Deluxe resorts are sharing busses. Any time you see that, you know Disney resorts aren't full!

If you've cruised before you know you're kicked off the ship EARLY 🥴

I am not a morning person but having breakfast in one of favorite spots on the ship sure helped!

This is Central Park, a wonderful respite from the rest of the excitement on the Utopia of the Seas. This is such a hidden gem and seemed overlooked on our cruise. There's a complimentary dining location in this area that was much less crowded than the main buffet, and the food was great!

I highly recommend this spot for anyone sailing the Utopia in the future 🌳

Beyond the world’s ornate portal, guests and clients will first journey from a Muggle park in Paris into the breathtaking spectacle of 1920’s Place Cachée – a hidden, bustling shopping district in wizarding Paris lined with Haussmannian buildings, shops, sidewalk cafés, and historic Parisian domes rising in the distance. The adventure begins when guests travel by Métro-Floo – a unique mode of wizarding transit inspired by the iconic Floo Network seen in the films – to journey from wizarding Paris to the British Ministry of Magic for the long-awaited trial of the infamous Dolores Umbridge. Le Cirque Arcanus – For the first time ever in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, guests will enjoy a live, full-scale theatre experience in the heart of the land with Le Cirque Arcanus. This spectacular show features live performers and aerialists, amazing puppetry, brilliant special effects and more to take guests on a whirlwind journey where they’ll encounter fantastic beasts like never before. Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique – Guests can shop some of the world’s finest wands designed by esteemed artisan wandmaker, Cosme Acajor, in the premier Parisian wand shop, Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique. In addition to popular imports from Ollivanders, visitors will find a selection of exquisite wands packaged in unique three-sided boxes – each containing a list of locations throughout the wizarding world where guests can practice casting spells.


Inspiring Wand Magic – As guests explore the streets of wizarding Paris, they can use their interactive wands to create magical experiences as they cast spells at various locations, interact with fantastic beasts such as Nifflers, Bowtruckles and a Demiguise, and engage with enchanted objects in many of the storefront windows plus other areas throughout the marvelous Place Cachée.
