That's a wrap on the kitchen remodel at Ohana Retreat! Reconfigured for a more open concept and much more functional for entertaining. Added 21st century amenities with new appliances, lighting, outlets and USB chargers built into the outlets. My goal was to create a warm, cabin, cozy and natural feel without your stereotypical "lake life/nautical" decor. Solid Cherry open shelving, thick solid maple countertops, and Sherwin Williams Evergreen Fog painted cabinetry. I hope our guests love it as much as we do!!

I was able to do a small section of the new countertops by myself, the rest of them will have to wait until contractors ...

I was able to do a small section of the new countertops by myself, the rest of them will have to wait until contractors can get here. Maple tops made by Rustic Fox Workshop (my small woodworking business)! Can't wait to post photos of the entire finished kitchen renovation!

Kitchen update! So many details left to work on but coming along nicely! Currently installing crown above the cabinets. Initially I thought I'd have to hire someone to do it because crown is super tricky. Well, I figured it out and everything fit perfectly with my 1st cuts. Bam! More photos coming soon!

New custom built patio table! Tom and I built this over the weekend and are very happy with it! Bolted to the deck so wind can't blow it over. Much more functional and less crowded than our traditional table. Just waiting on 2 new matching umbrellas to be delivered and it's all set! Next spring we'll stain it to match the deck. #ohanaretreatatsimontonlake

Progress! New maple tops with new and improved layout. Much more functional! Installation continues tomorrow then I will finish them. Stay tuned for updated photos of the finished project!
