Get ready to open the door because Mike and Sulley are coming to town!
👁That’s right, humans will be able to enter the world of Monsters, Inc. when it is added to the south side of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Building off the exciting announcements from last summer’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, the new land will include the coaster we’ve all dreamed of – a suspended ride recreating the door vault scene – plus dining and shopping and a whole new theater show.
🐸To make way for the monsters, Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and more of their friends will be moving right along to Sunset Boulevard! But there’s more to the story: The Muppets will be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, teaming up with some of music’s biggest stars for a rockin’ music festival!
📅No date has been announced yet, so let's get over to Muppet*Vision 3D while we can!

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Temporary Closure
Following this holiday season, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will temporarily close for refurbishment beginning January 6, 2025. The attraction will reopen with a little bit of new magic in 2026.

DinoLand U.S.A. Impacts Begin Jan. 13
Work on Tropical Americas continues with the installation of progress walls at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on Jan. 13. The last day of operations for TriceraTop Spin, Fossil Fun Games, and Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures will be Jan. 12. During this time, DINOSAUR, the Boneyard, Restaurantosaurus, Dino-Bite Snacks, and Trilo-Bites will remain open.

Halloween is in full swing at Walt Disney World, bringing with it ghoulish treats, frightfully fun décor and oodles of spirited fun — there’s more ways than ever to celebrate this season! And if meeting characters is a must-do, guests will encounter spine-chilling special surprises.

Many of guests’ favorite characters — including some rare finds — are around the parks this Halloween…Just keep in mind, encounters are never guaranteed and are subject to change.

Guests can get ready to roundup their appetite because we’ve got an update for Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe that’s equally as exciting as it is delicious. This classic Magic Kingdom Park location will be serving up a brand new “create-your-own” menu concept. And trust me, guests’ taste buds will be riding off into the sunset with delight once they try these tasty creations.

These new options are filled with Tex-Mex flavors inspired by the American Southwest. First, guests can kick off their dining experience by picking a base – Steamed Tamale, Rice Bowl, Nacho Bowl, or Southwest Caesar Salad – followed by one of three delicious proteins – Citrus-Chipotle Chicken, Green Chili Pork, or Coca-Cola Cherry Braised Beef. If guests are looking for some extra goods, they can double your protein portion or add a second one for an additional charge!

There’s more than just these new bowls on the menu. There’s new a la carte selections for both entrées and sides to choose from. Burger fans will love the Double Chili con Queso Burger while the Grilled Masa Flatbread is a plant-based option that is not to be missed. When it comes to sensational side selections, the new Barbecue-Cheddar Seasoned French Fries or Charro Beans will satisfy that appetite. Those looking for a sweet treat will also be pleased because the Sweet Corn Mousse and Mexican Chocolate and Horchata Verrine are the perfect finish to a meal.

But don’t worry. Fan favorites like the Cilantro-Lime Rice and Strawberry Limeade Slushy can still be enjoyed when guests ride on into this foodie spot.
