Whilst we wait on a winter ❄️ shower given we have had one of the warmest New Years to date, we thought this T H R O W B A C K to last year would set the mood….you have to agree it would be the perfect place to get snowed in!

As the sun sets on a winter’s afternoon, who can spot our new bridge between the 🌲 ?

It’s particularly special as it not only connects the private garden areas, to the woodlands but was designed and handmade on site just metres away by the family.

Surrounded amongst the frontage you can see the name plate of the left cottage peaking…”Fochy cottage”.
You might ask what is the meaning “Fochy” but it is the name of the burn that runs alongside at the rear of the properties!

Within the grounds of the cottages lies a fully functioning tennis court…just a perfect addition for those families that love a bit of sport or who like to burn of some excess energy.

Wouldn’t you agree that this is the most idyllic setting for a morning cuppa or evening BBQ?
The weaving patio that snakes alongside the burn provides the perfect place for visitors to enjoy some outside relaxation whilst on holiday.

From the bridge over the Fochy burn the old mill wheel can be noticed sneaking between the branches of the woodland.

From a different angle you can see the old mill wheel in full view and just up and beyond the corner is the shared patio area.

Who can spot the wheel that gives the cottages their name?
Hidden from full view from the shared patio is the old mill wheel and isn’t it situated just perfectly with the deep woodland behind and the running water from the stream of the Fochy burn alongside!
