Lost in the vibrant streets of Kuala Lumpur! 🇲🇾

From the iconic Petronas Towers to the bustling markets of Chinatown, this city stole our hearts.

We spent the everyday reaching our 20,000 steps and eating to our hearts desires! Every corner held a new adventure, and every dish was a flavor explosion. 🍜

Grateful for the memories made and the beauty we discovered. Until next time, KL!✈️

It’s official, we’re staying here in Indonesia for at least the next 2 years!! 🇮🇩

For those of you who know us, know this is a massive deal for us!

Since Mati and I met almost 6 years ago we’ve moved through 12 countries, some just visiting and others to stay more long term!

We are bigs fans of slow travel and getting to know each countries culture but here we fell in love, not only with the beautiful, kind and happy people but with the beauty of the lush landscapes, the small villages surrounded by rice fields and the amazing waves!

Be sure to keep an eye on our page to see how these next 2 years evolve 🤍❤️🇮🇩

During Covid, we spent 8 months in the Dominican Republic. We arrived in Santo Domingo where we explored the enchanting Colonial Zone, where history runs through cobblestone streets and vibrant facades. From ancient forts to charming plazas 🏰🇩🇴

Definitely worth a visit if you are in the DR!

I’m so so grateful for the 3 weeks I got to spend with my favourite person on 🌏, my mama .mcpadden!

When I was a baby we lived in Indonesia for almost 3 years so I know that being back after 30 years was a dream and I honestly couldn’t believe how fluent my mamas bahasa Indonesia was!

We spent our time tanning on the beach, drinking coconuts and munching on fried tempeh, doing yoga and cacao ceremonies, getting massages and laughing until our bellies hurt! ❤️

Being away from my family is truly the only really difficult part of slow travel for me, but I’m so lucky to have a family that supports and understands our need to chase the sun and waves and live the slow island life that we love 🥰

Thanks for being the best mom and friend I could ask for ❤️

It’s been 10 years since I did a safari in Amboseli National Park, also known as ‘home of the African Elephant’ in Kenya and doing another safari is something that is close to the top of our bucket list to do together!

It was full of beautiful wildlife, nature and scenery that took your breath away!

I was lucky enough to see giraffes, lions, zebras, gerenuk and of course the magnificent African Elephant!

These are only some of the incredible animals we got to see and only a small portion of what this National park has to offer.

Have you been on Safari before? If so comment below on where you think we should go on safari together?

Throwback to when I (Dani) had the most fun playing around in Salar de Uyuni!

Back in 2015 when backpacking through South America, I spent a few days travelling from Bolivia to Chile through the Salar de Uyuni and Atacama Desert! They were some of the most unforgettable days with the best group!

If you get the chance, it’s really a magical place that you won’t regret exploring 🇧🇴

What a way to celebrate turning 33!!Thank you, everyone, for all the birthday wishes!

I got to spend the day celebrating with my sister, my cousin who I haven't seen in more than 10 years, friends, and my amazing husband! If that wasn't enough, we spent it cruising through Indonesia on a boat seeing Whalesharks, Komodo dragons, Turtles, and to top it off we ended the night with a boat party! Thank you , , and .id for making it so special! And thank you and .mcpadden for the gifts all the way from Ireland!

This was one I will never forget!

🌍✈️ Throwback to our first adventure together, Mexico and in particular, Chichen Itza!

Exploring the ancient Mayan ruins was like stepping back in time. We wandered through the iconic Temple of Kukulkan, marveling at its architectural brilliance. The energy and history of this place were simply mind-blowing!

But the fun didn't stop there! We soaked up the sun, enjoyed a refreshing dip in the nearby cenotes, and indulged in some delicious Mexican street food. 🌮 The blend of adventure, culture, and mouthwatering flavors made it an unforgettable experience!

If you're a history buff, a culture enthusiast, or simply someone who loves exploring magnificent wonders, Chichen Itza is a destination you absolutely cannot miss! 🙌

Hey, travel tribe! 🌎 Here we have Mati waving his flag...but for real, today we're throwing it back to one of our favorite trips from last year: Salta Province in Argentina! We explored the breathtaking scenery and vibrant culture of this stunning region, and of course couldn't miss visiting the famous bridge from the movie Relatos Salvajes!🌉

Salta Province has so much to offer, from the colorful landscapes to the charming colonial architecture of Salta City. 🏜️ And the food...oh, the food! We indulged in some of the most delicious empanadas we've ever tasted as well as the controversial llama milanesa 🍴🍷

If you're planning a trip to Argentina, Salta Province is a must-visit! 🌟✈️

Koh Tao is not only where our journey together started but it’s where we learned and fell in love with diving! Since then we’ve been lucky enough to work and dive in some of the best places like the Maldives, Mexico, to name a few! 🤿

We recently had the opportunity to revisit Koh Tao and reconnect with some of our regulars on our daily dives. It was so amazing to see t itrtles munching away, the blue spotted sting ray, anemone fish and Christmas tree worms thriving in their natural habitat. 💙

Exploring the underwater world is truly a magical experience that everyone should tonce in their lifetime. Not only is it an opportunity to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life, but it also allows you to witness the beauty and wonder of nature firsthand. 🙌

So if you ever get the chance to go scuba diving, take it! You won't regret it. 🤿 And if you're looking for a place to start, Koh Tao should be on your bucket list!

No matter where I am, Ireland is forever home! Killiney Hill in beautiful Dublin, Ireland truly has it all - rolling green hills, rugged cliffs, and breathtaking panoramic views of the sparkling Irish Sea. It's no wonder why this spot is our favorite for Sunday walks! 🌊

We have to admit, we got lucky with the weather, the vibrant colors of the wildflowers and the lush greenery are even more stunning under a bright blue sky. 📸

So if you find yourself in Dublin, make sure to add Killiney Hill to your itinerary! It's just a short drive from the city center, but you'll feel like you've entered a different world entirely. Don't forget to bring your camera and snap some pics for your social media feeds! 🤳

🏜️ Have you ever heard of Huacachina? It's a hidden gem nestled in the Peruvian desert, and it's a must-visit for all adventure seekers!

We spent the day sandboarding down the towering dunes and soaking up the stunning views of the oasis. 🏄‍♀️🏄‍♂️ The rush of adrenaline as we soared down the sandy slopes was absolutely unforgettable! There is also night sandboarding with a DJ...not to be missed!

But Huacachina isn't just about sandboarding. We also explored the vibrant local culture and savored some of the most delicious Peruvian cuisine we've ever tasted! 🍴🍹

If you're looking for a unique and thrilling adventure, Huacachina should definitely be on your bucket list! 🙌 📸✈️

Namaste from Dharamshala, India!

In 2012, when I (Dani) was still solo travelling, I was fortunate enough to visit the peaceful mountain town of Dharamshala that stole my heart with its stunning views of the Himalayas and serene atmosphere. The highlight of this trip was visiting the residence of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and learning about the rich history and culture of the Tibetan people.

With some awesome friends I met there, we explored the bustling local markets, tried some delicious momos and thukpa, and enjoyed the beautiful sunsets over the mountains. We even hiked to Triund, a scenic hilltop that offered panoramic views of the entire valley.

Dharamshala is truly a hidden gem of India that deserves more recognition. I highly recommend this beautiful town for anyone looking for a peaceful and authentic travel experience. Stay tuned for more travel stories and recommendations from us! ✈️🌍

This one's for our ocean lovers! As always, we were blown away by the beauty and diversity of the marine life we encountered on our snorkeling and freediving escapade in .

We were lucky enough to spot a yellow stingray gliding gracefully through the crystal-clear waters...but that was just the beginning!

We then stumbled upon the Caribbean scorpionfish, a true master of disguise that blended seamlessly into its surroundings. We had to keep our eyes peeled to catch a glimpse of this incredible creature, but it was well worth the effort. Can you spot it?

We also came across a pufferfish that was so adorable we couldn't resist snapping a photo. It swam around us with a look of curiosity in its eyes, reminding us just how incredible the ocean's creatures truly are.

And last but not least, the starfish! We found several of these beauties in all shapes and colours, each one more stunning than the last.

There's nothing quite like the feeling of being immersed in the ocean and surrounded by its incredible inhabitants. We feel so grateful to have had this experience and can't wait to share more of our adventures with you all! 🐬🌴🌊

Are you ready for a whirlwind adventure through the vibrant city of Singapore? Booking our flights to Indonesia, we decided to do a 20 hour layover in Singapore to walk and eat our way though this stunning city, and let me tell you, it was a trip to remember!

First up on our itinerary was Chinatown. This bustling neighborhood is full of rich culture, delicious food, and stunning architecture. We spent a couple of hours wandering the streets and snapping pictures of the colorful shophouses.

Next, we headed over to Gardens by the Bay. This futuristic park is a must-visit for any nature lover, with its iconic Supertrees and breathtaking conservatories. We felt like we were walking through a scene from Avatar (we didn't end up doing it but they actually have an Avatar experience now - https://avatartheexperience.com/ ) as we explored the towering structures and marveled at the diverse plant life.

No trip to Singapore would be complete without a visit to Marina Bay Sands. This iconic hotel and casino complex boasts a stunning rooftop infinity pool with sweeping views of the city.

Finally, we wrapped up our day with a trip to Clarke Quay. This lively waterfront area is home to a variety of restaurants and bars. We nestled in to Little Saigon for some cocktails and grub soaking in the vibrant atmosphere and watching the colorful boats sail by before hopping back on the Metro to head back to the airport.

Our one regret was not venturing around the airport during the day as the Jewel waterfall doesn't pour down at night (which we didn't know) but overall, Singapore was jam-packed with adventure, culture, and beauty. We highly recommend checking out these must-visit spots if you find yourself in this incredible city!

We are no flower experts but can always appreciate the beauty and colours they offer!

My absolute favourite animal!! The biggest fish on earth… yes the whale shark 💙

These gentle giants can grow up to 12 meters long but this beauty although looks enormous, was just 6 meters long!

Being filter feeders don’t bite or chew, they mostly sieve plankton through their gills and their mouths can stretch over 1 meter!!!

Now, although they don’t bite or chew, they do have about 3,000 tiny teeth, less than an inch long which help them eat shrimp, and plankton.

They have an incredibly long lifespan of 70-100 years reaching sexual maturity at 30 years old. They give birth to live young that are already 16-24 inches long!

Unlike true whales, they do not stay with their young, therefore, only 10% make it to adulthood.

Like human fingerprints, whale sharks have a unique pattern of spots which allow them to be identified.

Honestly, we never get tired of seeing these beautiful creatures and we can’t wait for the next time we see one!

We were lucky enough to spend a few weeks in the beautiful countryside town of Lizaso!

The majority of the homes are from the 15th century which definitely brings you back in time and is crazy picturesque!

The quiet, the peace and stary skies you experience are incomparable. Plus there was a tonne of baby goats which are incredibly cute 🤍🤍🤍

We are in love with our new home here in Midigama! Coconuts, palm trees, surfing and some of the most humble and kind people we have ever met, what more could you ask for?

If you come to Midigama we massively recommend Wild Beach Cafe! Aisha the owner and cook along with her husband Hassun will cook you up an amazing feast right on the beach ❤

Wandering through Colombo, the capital if Sri Lanka 🇱🇰

First photo is Viharamaha Devi Park Buddha Statue. It is based in Colombos largest and oldest park, walking distance to many historical sights. Take a break from the hustle and bustle and enjoy the lush green trees and peace that this park brings.

Second are the beautifully picturesque railway tracks that edge along the coast to the south and that brought us to our new temporary home in Midigama.

Third the glittery and colourful fun buses that you can find all around the country.

Finally, the last two are at Beira Lake which is an artificial lake in the middle of the city which was built by the Portuguese to protect the city. It has a Buddhist temple along with many floating gardens. Full of pelicans and ducks, its not a sight to miss.
