Domestic Airline Travel ID Requirements for U.S. Citizens:
Beginning May 7, 2025, every air traveler 18 years of age and older will need a REAL ID-compliant drivers license, state-issued enhanced drivers license, or another
acceptable form of ID to fly within the United States. REAL IDs are marked by a star on the top of the card.

Between now and the effective date of the new regulations, we encourage all travelers to check their IDs and obtain a REAL ID if they don't already have one.

Did you feel safe at the destination? Yes

The flights: The flights were good, just wish the original direct flight to Jamaica wouldn't have been cancelled for a connecting flight because the direct return flight was great and several hours shorter.

Transfers: Good with Amstar, left the airport very quickly and the return was just as efficient.

Beach: Can't beat the Negril beach, it was great

Pool: Had 3 pools, they were small but nice and not very crowded.

Service: Very good at the restaurants and bars, water sports, exercise classes and gym.

Food: Very good with a nice variety of food at the restaurants and buffets.

Rooms: Had some maintenance issues and a lot of road noise in the first room they gave us (also about as far away from everything that you could get) so we asked to be moved and they moved us to the building next door that didn't have the road noise. The air conditioning was very weak in both rooms. It took 3 days for the temperature to drop from 23.5 celsius to 21 celsius and that is the lowest it would go even though it was set to 20 celsius. The day we were supposed to leave they cut off the air conditioning even though we didn't leave the room until noon and the temperature was back to 23.5 celsius that day.

Entertainment: Pretty good variety, just that the music was a little too loud for most folks.

Would you return: We were supposed to have access to the RIU Negril resort and this was stated in the travel documents. The RIU Negril was closed for renovations the entire time we were there. This was also supposed to be a palace resort but wasn't really up to the standards of the other RIU palace resorts that we've stayed at. Pictures they showed of the renovated RIU Negril means the RIU Negril will be much nicer than this palace resort so I'm not sure what they're going to do with that. Based on the above, we probably wouldn't return to this resort until the RIU Negril is open.

Would you recommend this resort? Not until the RIU Negril is back open.

Client Review of 10 Day Kaleidoscope of Ecuador

As always, Discount Charter came through with an excellent trip, again. Frank always goes above and beyond to make sure things go without a hitch.
We had another wonderful vacation to Ecuador through Gate 1.
They always choose the best hotels, meals that are included are out of this world.
Our tour guide, Giavanni was very knowledgeable of her country and proud to be guiding us throughout our journey. She was always at hand and answering any questions we might have.
Eduador our driver was fantastic! He safely drove us through the Andes Mountains, which was no easy feat. I had a bum clencher a few times🤭.
And was always at hand to dole out the toilet paper at our scheduled breaks.🤗
We had a great group of people and had a great time.
This was our 5th Gate1 trip in less than 2 years. I've researched the other companies and the just don't compare to their service.
And it doesn't hurt that our travel agent, Frank is always there to help and look out for my incompetence on the computer. He is a gem.
I'll be calling him soon with another Gate 1 trip.

Client review of Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort 11/18/2024- 3 NTS) Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa 11/21/24 - 3 NTS) OUTRIGGER Honua Kai Resort & Spa 11/24/2024 - 4 nts)

Did you feel safe at the destination? YES

The flights: REMARKABLY ALL FLIGHTS ON-TIME.

Car Rentals: OAHU DID NOT HAVE SMALLER SUVS SO THEY GAVE ME AN ‘ARMADA’ THAT MADE PARKING A CHALLENGE. HERTZ RENTALS WERE FINE.

Beach: HONESTLY, WAIKIKI OUTRIGGER IS A SMALLER BEACH, BUT A SHORT 5 MINUTE WALK IS A MUCH BIGGER BEACH. KAUAI GRAND HYATT BEACH WAS NICE, BUT MOSTLY ROCKS UNDER THE WATER (BUT THEY DID HAVE THE BEST POOLS, whirlpool bath SET UP. VERY NICE). Maui Outrigger beach had a nice walkway, nice beach but very windy)

Pool: Kauai was the best pool.

Service: grand hyatt and outrigger both had good service.

Food: did not eat at hotels. Last Maui Outrigger had a kitchen and we just bought food and cooked. Honestly, eating out was very $$ expensive.

Rooms: all good. Outrigger Maui had the niecest room.

Entertainment: all had singers but all just ok, But Kauai resort had best pools, pickleball and more

Would you return: yes, especially Kauai. We went to a few beaches that were incredible.

Would you recommend the resorts? Definitely the Kuiai grand Hyatt. The Maui Outrigger next and Oahu Outrigger was last.

How did you find our service? DISCOUNT CHARTER IS AMAZING! Highly recommend to others!

Client Review of Independent London, Paris & Amsterdam City Stay

Yes, we felt safe at all locations.

The flights were smooth, but I really like the night flights because when you wake up, you’re there! However, American Airlines check-in computers were down and it took a long time to actually check our bags. They were not helpful when we called them for help the night before we left.

The transfers were fine, but the train from London to Paris was stressful because it was extremely crowded and a bit rushed.

The service was good and everyone was very nice.

The food was good but I’ve found that the inexpensive local hangouts have much better food than pricier places. Food was best in Amsterdam.

The rooms were fine, but we really loved the room in Amsterdam….it had a balcony and was much bigger than the rooms in London or Paris.

We took a viator tour to Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Bath. Bath was phenomenal but we would not recommend this tour…..you spend hours travelling with only an hour or so to spend at the actual destination.

I like the itinerary but it’s a lot to take in all at once. However, that’s what we asked for!

I thought your service was very good except we did not get to sit together on the way back and they were not aware of Anna’s gluten intolerance…..therefore she was not able to eat a meal on our return trip from Amsterdam to Philly.

Yes, I would recommend your service to friends and family.

Client Review of Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa (Junior Suite Garden View 10/27/2024 - 6 nts)

Here are my comments, just wanted to caveat them though because we did have a good time but since I've been to Grand Palladium many times before I've noticed a pretty significant decrease in quality over the last few years and this trip confirmed that (they seem to be on a cost cutting program and it shows).

Did you feel safe at the destination? Yes

The flights: Southwest was great and no problem with the flights

Transfers: Waited at the airport about 50 minutes before leaving for the resort (was originally told it would only be 25 minutes). Amstar made up for it on the return to the airport though. We didn't leave the hotel until about 3 hours before our flight, got to the airport 2 hours before the flight and was met at the door by an Amstar rep that took us directly to the checkin counter, got our bags checked and escorted us to security all in about 10 minutes.

Beach: Very nice, just a little rocky in spots

Pool: Nice but it was in need of repair. Many tiles missing, light cover by the swim up bar missing, peeling paint and recently patched areas was obvious.

Service: Terrible at the sports bar but pretty good at all the restaurants (that happened to be open). No one to hand out sports equipment, it was just piled up on a counter with some items missing. Very few daily activities each day (2-3 at most) where in the past there were 10-20 daily activities going on.

Food: One buffet shutdown for renovations the day after we arrived. The seafood restaurant was only open for lunch, several of the other restaurants were only open a few days we were there. Problem is no one told us this, we had to find it out ourselves (trying to make reservations only to get no reservations available all the time or seeing the restaurants not open in the evening). Food selection and quality has definitely declined (no bananas, fresh pineapple, poor quality steaks, ...). Also noticed that on day one there were higher quality alcohol selections available but by day 2 or 3 they all disappeared (no more appleton rum, johhny walker black, bailys, liquors, ...)

Rooms: Air conditioner didn't work when we showed up and the door required slamming it shut to lock it. They fixed the air conditioner but it took 3 trips to the front desk (and several times returning to the room to find it not locked) before it was fixed.

Entertainment: Marginal with a bingo night where they charged for the cards with a prize of a credit at the resort (seemed like they were trying to get more money out of guests)

Would you return: No

Would you recommend this resort? Not unless they fix the problems listed above

Any additional comments: I noticed this Grand Palladium decline when they started pushing the TRS membership and their vacation club membership and it has only become worse. This was my first visit to a Grand Palladium in 2 years.
