Gorgeous views, a very warm and cozy atmosphere, and an outstanding breakfast. Charles and Judy have every detail covered at their Cedar Spring Inn. I highly recommend this gem for a B&B stay in the Charlottesville area.

Book direct whenever you can; booking through OTAs such as Expedia make it tougher and tougher for small inns to stay profitable. @ Advance Mills, Virginia

What’s missing here? It’s the remains of the 18-hole Ocean Links golf course at after executives ordered bulldozers in, under cover of early morning darkness, to remove all bunkers and greens to render it unusable in strict violation of its contract with local groups. This is the sad reality of power-hungry mismanagement of an otherwise beautiful property. Views to the west of sunsets are always gorgeous, but there's something neat about the long-shadowed beach looking east. The wide, quiet beaches here are awesome. Highly recommend the Plantation, and go for the Villas here instead of the main hotel.
