Summer is right around the corner, and before you know it the heat will be back as well. This year plan your summer cool down in Maine! Portland is a beautiful small city, right on the coast. Perfect for any craft beer or seafood lover! With 25 breweries (including Allagash and Maine Beer Company) there is no shortage of options. The oysters are plentiful, with more than a dozen different local oysters, not to mention all of the lobster you could possibly imagine. It's easy to picture yourself eating and drinking your way through this charming city. A short 3 hour drive up the coast from Bar harbor and Acadia National Park, (in my opinion) the most beautiful National Park east of the Mississippi River. From atop Cadillac Mountain you’ll experience one of the best sunsets imaginable, and be sure to set your alarm clocks, because Cadillac Mountain hosts the earliest sunrise in the US!
