The Retreat’s new floating dock is ready for visitors! It’s a short ten minute walk from the Crossroads and has beautiful views of the reservoir and fall foliage. Wander down with a thermos of coffee and enjoy a book or a long conversation with a loved one. It’s been so fun watching the Retreat construct communal spaces like this and we can’t wait to hear how our guests put them to use!

We at “The Crossroads at Water’s Edge” are deeply saddened over the passing of ZZ Top bassist Dusty Hill. The heart and soul of “The Crossroads” is in the music of the blues. For over 50 years Dusty was a master of and greatly influenced this great music. Dusty … you will be missed.

Hines Pond is just down the road from our cabin. There’s a small waterfall created by its dam, and it’s a lovely spot to stop by for pictures and exploration.
