There is a huge gap, and therefore opportunity between what the tourism industry wants and what they know about sustainability. There is no universal standard to gauge how good or bad a tour does for the local people and places, yet everyone agrees that this is a critical and global problem.
Impact Travel Collective is a social enterprise creating a straightforward yet comprehensive platform of resources and tools consisting of a community where guides and operators can network and learn about the universally accepted sustainable development goals developed by the UN. There they also easily create searchable, public-facing impact reports about their tours and sell them on our sustainable tour marketplace.
We are reimagining how people give and take tours, and the result is an overall win-win: Guides, and companies save time and money with a tool that effectively proves their activity’s impact to consumers who demand to know, which increases sales and offers a superior product, one based on a tourism of respect for and celebration of the local community and environment.
Impact Travel Collective has a talented team with diverse skills and over 20 years in the tourism industry.
- Amber Nelson is a project manager and expert in tour development and sustainability.
- Scott Wilson: Customer Success, Creative Production, and Marketing Management and...
- Juanjo González: IT Administrator, community manager, and tri-lingual tour guide.
