Right now we are sailing on the relaxing Disney Magic cruise ship!
Today we docked at the port of Progreso, Mexico.
We enjoyed an explorative excursion going to 2,000 year old Mayan Xcambo ruins where the guides encourage you to climb to the top and have a look around since it’s one of the few ruins sites that still lets people touch the stones!
Then we stopped at salt flats that the Mayan people have been using for hundreds of years, then to a small town called Dzemul where I caught a little boy off to the side mimicking the dance of his mother that he’s seen her perform his whole life.

We toured a catholic church there from the 1600s that Spaniards built to convert the local Mayan people.
Then we boarded our bus to our final stop, a beach club where we dined on a homemade Mexican buffet, then went down to the chairs on the beach where I relaxed myself into a little nap to the soundtrack of the crashing waves and cool breeze!
What a beautiful day in Mexico!

Now, heading back to board our ship for PIRATE NIGHT ! 🏴‍☠️🚢⚓️

That’s my favorite part of cruising is getting to stop, get out, explore a different culture, places you have never seen before, but then back to stay on the Disney Cruise Line ship where we know the level of service, care, and delicious food awaiting us each evening!

I often wonder if what I spend on my kids’ Christmas gifts would come close to the more preferable gift of a family vacation around Christmastime! 🎄

🚨 The most popular ride in Magic Kingdom is currently closed for refurbishment!
If you have a Walt Disney World trip planned in the next few weeks, prepare yourself to have to skip this iconic ride. 😭

The Disney World website has it listed as reopening on August 21st.

Is that worth rescheduling your trip to get to experience Peter Pan’s Flight when it reopens?

Some diehard fans would say yes!

I’ve never seen it closed before in person, so that was a bit eerie to walk up to it all boarded off (instead of the usual long line of people that wraps around the building!) 🥹

Today is OPENING DAY!!!!

1900 Park Fare finally reopens after 4 years of closure and WE WERE THERE for the very first breakfast with the BEST CHARACTER OF ALL TIME!!!!!
