On this day, 12 years ago, the most beautiful boy in California was born. Parker Shawn Christianson, is the most delightful, vivacious, happy, brilliant little guy I've ever known! Parker's heart is bigger than the great outdoors. He has been/is the most unbelievable light in this GeeGee's life. I seriously fell for him the movement I saw his gorgeous little face on that train platform. Parker, thank you for being so wonderful to your old GeeGee. This is the day I became GeeGee for the first time! Connor Lawrence Powell was born, on this day, in 2005!! Connor, I did not know my heart could feel as full as it did when I saw you be born; the last time I'd been in a delivery room was when your dad was born! I did not know my heart could beat as loudly, and as proudly, as it did starting 12/15/2005. Looking at you, and witnessing how much people love you, has been a wonderful sight! You are amazing Connor. The love so many people have for you, should help you to realize that, no matter what you may face in life, you have a legion of people in your corner, cheering you on! You've been of such pride and joy to your dad. You've been of such love and comfort to your mom. You are the epitome of what a 'big brother' should be. I finally found a copy of one of my all-time favorite books, Balcony People by Joyce Landlord: your copy is on its way! You have been one of my most valuable Balcony People, from the delivery room to the present. I wish I were there to see you more often. I owe you so much, let's start with lunch. Even after 18 years, the mere thought of you still brings me so much joy and love. I want to share with you a small quote from that book.

"Some people are in the "balconies" of our lives, cheering us on, encouraging and energizing us with their warm affirmations."
