South Australia Police

A confused goat has caused some property damage in Murray Bridge over the weekend.
At about 4pm on Friday 18 October, a goat made its way down Maurice Road, where it walked past a window of a local mechanic’s workshop.
He thought he saw another goat staring at him from behind the glass.
Not one to take a backward step, the goat charged at his enemy, hitting him in the head, causing the other goat to disappear.
Satisfied with the outcome, the goat continued on his way. Unfortunately, the same thing happened, with another goat seen in the window next to the one he had just hit. You can guess the rest of the story.
The goat was rounded up by police with assistance from local residents.
No charges were laid against the goat, but police are considering issuing a baaa-ring order.

I had to bring these little ones into the house last night. Their mum wasn't sitting with them and keeping them warm, so they'll spend a week or 2 in the house, until they get a bit bigger and can stay warm on their own a bit better.

Meet Roger Ramjet. We've been following his story for a few months - he was found as a stray and cared for and eventually rehomed by some lovely people in town, however he is a fence jumper and ended up in the pound.

We've rescued him from there thru Australian Working Dog Rescue and he's now safely on the farm while we get him desexed and microchipped and find him a home with fences that will keep him contained :-)

You know you're a farmer when you have to clean the goat poo off the car seat before you can drive.

Or, should that be "you know you're a sucker..."?

Well, after several false starts, our pig is at the butcher tonight. It's a bit sad and a bit exciting, but the main thing is that his time with us was as happy and as stress free as we could make it, as was his trip to the butcher. This is our next step towards being as self-sufficient as possible.
