This year, we decided to host a luxurious Baecation in Costa Rica. If I had to take a poll, I know everyone would say they truly enjoyed themselves. We all opted for the preferred club rooms, which provided us with access to a preferred club lounge, vip check-in, premium alcoholic beverages, preferred room locations, access to a specific restaurant for lunch and breakfast, and more.
My honey and I had the pleasure of staying in room 100- the Preferred Club Ocean Front King Room and it was everything we could’ve hoped for and more. We were literally next to all the restaurants, bars, coffee shop, preferred club lounge and more.

When flying Business Class, did you know there are several perks available before, during and after your flight?
During the check-in process, you’re able to access the priority lane- which comes in handy if lines are long. Your bags are also tagged as priority (this comes in handy during baggage claim time- with priority tagging, your luggage is typically first to appear on the baggage claim belt)
Once I cleared TSA, I was able to gain access to the American Airlines Admiral Lounge at Charlotte’s airport and wait there until boarding started. There, I had access to various refreshments, beverages, certain alcoholic beverages, a business room and comfortable seating.
When it was time to board my flight, I boarded with group 1, which allows you more time to settle in and get comfy. I was greeted with a welcome drink and was also able to select my preferred entree choice prior to take off. (This can also be pre-selected in the app prior to your travel date)
During the meal service, our tray was set up by our amazing group of flight attendants and we were then given a warm towel, trail mix and our beverage of choice followed by a salad and appetizer, the main meal and dessert. As always, snacks were available in the galley to retrieve at any time. Lastly, prior to landing, we were served breakfast.
Overall, I’d say flying business class on long haul flights is definitely worth it. The lie flat seats are comfy (even for someone plus size like myself) and I left the flight feeling ready to tackle the day ahead and the time difference. Will I still fly economy?!? HECK YES- 😂😂😂 BUT when the price is right, I encourage each of you to experience it at least once!

I recently had the opportunity to stay here and it’s definitely on my list of places to stay again when traveling with family or a group of people. The room was very clean and spacious! Housekeeping and guest services were AMAZING!!
