It is with profound sadness that we share the news of our father’s passing. Gerville Ferdinand Gibbs, Sr died peacefully in his home in Colombier, St. Martin. Like our maternal grandmother, Dad’s mom was Anguillian with her roots in South Hill. Over the 12 years it took us to complete The Cottage there was no bigger champion than our dad. We remain forever thankful that both of our parents were able to see the project finished and spend quality time here. The Cottage represents so much more to us than a beautiful villa. It is our family, our roots, our history. Our mom. Our dad. Reunited in heaven after 59 years together on earth. We will miss you pops, and we will continue to live our lives to the fullest, just as you did. 💔💔

As we exit the high/festive season, we wanted to take a moment to say thank you! Because of our wonderful guests and all who make The Cottage hum along, we were completely booked for all of high season - from November 2023 thru this week. We couldn’t do this without the services of our concierge Katie at Anguilla Property Services, our booking agents Properties in Paradise and Aline who goes above and beyond, the fabulous photos of KSharp Media, the design skills of Arlene Gibbs Decor, and of course none of this would be possible without our mother, grandmother and great grandmother. As the sun sets on 2023, we pause for a moment of reflection and gratitude. This year had its highs (amazing clients, finishing the pool) and the deepest of lows (losing our mother). As we head into 2024, we will continue to honor our ancestors’ memories by putting our love and care into The Cottage. We will honor our mother by ensuring our children understand and appreciate the beauty, magic, and love of Anguilla. And we wish for all of you a very Happy New Year and a 2024 filled with happiness, love, and travel!
