The Municipality of San Isidro will once again celebrate its Founding Anniversary echoing a 3-day celebration slated on June 25-27, 2022 with a theme “San Isidro @18: Ang mapadayunong kalambuan”, marking 18 years of continuous progress and breakthrough and another year brimming with eminent milestones that uplifted the lives of every San Isidroan even amid the pandemic. This has been a blissful commemoration of the municipality’s culture, talents, achievements, and significant leap from its humble beginnings to becoming one of the most improved municipalities in the Philippines. Thus, the celebration of the 18th Araw ng San Isidro will clamor with this Array of Activities.

VOLLEYBALL OPEN-LEAGUE TOURNAMENT

Deadline of Submission of entries: June 18, 2022
Competition dates: June 25-27, 2022

ELIGIBILITY:

1. The Volleyball tournament is an open-league competition for men, LGBTQIA+ (g**s, bisexuals, and q***r) with age from 14 years old and above
2. It can be school-based teams, club teams, association teams, etc.,
3. The teams must submit the duly accomplished REGISTRATION FORM and attach the vaccination card (photocopied) of all players.

OFFICIAL LINE-UP
4. Official line-up is composed of a maximum of 12 and a minimum of 8 players, a head coach and assistant coach (optional)
5. Once submitted, the said line-up is deemed final.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT:
Preliminary Round, Quarter, and Semi Finals is 2 out of 3 sets. Deciding set is 25 points.
6. Teams will be divided into 2 (two) brackets: BRACKET A and BRACKET B
7. Bracket assignment will be determined thru draw lots during the start of the tournament
8. During the preliminary round, a double elimination per bracket will be adopted. Preliminary round team ranking will be based on the WIN-LOSS standing of each team.
9. After the preliminary round, top 2 teams per bracket will advance to the Semi-Finals
-Top 1 in Bracket A shall compete against Top 2 in Bracket B
-Likewise, Top 1 in Bracket B shall compete against Top 2 in Bracket A
10. Lossing Team shall pit against each other for the 3rd and 4th place
11. Winning teams shall advance to a championship game

DABAONONS, PAPUNTA PA LANG TAYO SA EXCITING PART!

Do you have what it takes to claim the most coveted pageant crown in Davao del Norte?

The long wait is over! After a two-year hiatus, the most anticipated and most prestigious pageantry in Davnor is back. The Binibining Davao del Norte 2022 invites all beauty pageant aspirants from the 11 cities and municipalities of the province to ready their wits, glamorous wardrobes, and unique talents and join the search for the first-ever phoenix queen.

Just like how a phoenix rises from the ashes with renewed strength, the newly-crowned Binibini will be Davnor’s symbol of resilience, fortitude, and steadfastness signifying how we all rise from the adversities in the previous years.

Here comes the exciting part:

The crown, P300,000 worth of prize money, and the title of Binibining Davao del Norte 2022 are at stake.

Are you already convinced? Here are the qualifications to join:

1. Bonafide residency with barangay certificate as proof (the organizers shall have the right to review the documents submitted and require additional documents to establish the residence of the representatives)
2. Minimum Height Requirement: 5'3''
3. Age: 18-25 years old.
4. Single (no record of common-law partnership or divorce)
5. Good moral standing

If you are interested, kindly contact or proceed to your local municipal/city tourism offices for more information. The screening process will be on May 31, 2022, 1PM at PTV DavNor Studio, Government Center, Mankilam, Tagum City.

BATTLE OF THE MOVES (All about Retro)
Inter-barangay Dance Contest:

PRIMARY RULES, ELIGIBILITY, AND REGISTRATION

1. Only one group per barangay may join the Battle of the Moves (All about Retro) Dance Contest.
2. The dance group should be placed under the direction of a qualified and knowledgeable choreographer.
3. Each group must have a minimum number of fifteen (15) to a maximum of twenty (20) members without age requirement regardless of gender.
4. A draw will take place before the start of the event to determine the order of performance.
5. Pre-registration is REQUIRED. Group from respective barangay may submit the duly accomplished registration form to Municipal Administrator’s Office or Human Resource Management Office on or before June 17, 2022 (Friday).
6. Incomplete or late registration is a ground for disqualification.
7. The group must present their barangay certificate of residency upon pre-registration. The organizer reserves the right to request additional pertinent documents and make validations to ensure the veracity of all entries.
8. Participants are requested to be at the venue at least one hour before the official start of the competition
9. Props and costumes should be relevant to the theme, “All about Retro”

SPECIFIC CONTEST GUIDELINES:

TIMING:
10. Routines should be at least for 7 minutes but should not go beyond 8 minutes.
11. Timing begins with the squad’s first movement, or when the music starts playing. It ends when the dance groups come to their final pose stating this piece “Happy 18th Araw ng San Isidro”.
12. In case of violation, deductions (pre-final score) will be made as follows:
• 5 seconds undertime/overtime = 0.1
• 6-10 seconds undertime/overtime = 0.3
• 11 seconds undertime/overtime = 0.5

PERFORMANCE AREA:
13. Each team will be given 2 minutes to remove the props from the performance area after their routine. Should the team fail to clear the area, there will be a 0.3 deduction from their score.
14. Prior to the contest date, the choreographer of each group can conduct an ocular inspection of the venue. Rehearsals on the venue, however, will not be allowed.
15. The groups should be ready to perform as they arrive. No area will be assigned for changing, make-up/retouch and practice.

INAPPROPRIATE CHOREOGRAPHY/PROPS:
16. Possible grounds for disqualification: obscene, vulgar or offensive movements, words, music, props and costume.
17. Teams are advised against performing dance movements that will endanger the safety of their dancers.
18. Body painting is strictly not allowed.
19. The props to be used in the performance should not exceed 10 ft. in height.
20. The use of flammable materials such as pyrotechnics as part of the performance is strictly prohibited.

SOUND/MUSIC:
21. Music to be used (remix) may be in any language and should be relevant to the theme of the contest, “All about Retro!” – music from 1970’s-1990’s
22. Choreographer must have a properly labeled backup cued CD or cued USB and a designated music manager (DMM).
23. The DMM must submit to the sound engineer the backup CD or USB before the competition begins. The DMM is required to stay in the music booth during his/her team’s performance.
24. Should a routine be interrupted because of injury, the team will be given a set amount of time to regroup or to withdraw from the event.
