We lost our dear Bob two years ago today. We miss him every day. He inspired the creation of the Duglin Travel Group and inspires still. The Duglin Travel Group is thinking of its namesake, Bob Duglin, today, November 9th which is his birthday. Bob is remembered for his caring, his sense of humor, creativity and passion for the travel industry. He made each and every person he encountered feel important and respected. The members of Duglin Travel Group strive to do the same.
It has been one year since Bob Duglin, the person for which our agency is named, left this world and us. We miss him every day and we strive to carry on our lives as he lived his......wIth compassion, a sense of humor, a love of travel, friends, family and a titch of devilish delight.
Duglin Travel Group had the opportunity to visit the headquarters of Virgin Voyages in Plantation, FL. We were there to discuss our ASTA South Florida September chapter meeting. We have all heard that flying is crazy this summer. Here are a few suggestions to hopefully make your airline experience better:
- If you can drive to your destination in 8 hours or less then think about this alternative
- Always book a non-stop flight if it is available to your destination.
- And...book the first flight in the morning or early in the day.
- Consider flying a day or two early if time allows.
- Carry on your luggage if you can get everything in a 22 inch bag.
- Book your flights and hotels with an ASTA travel advisor
Duglin Travel Group is honored to participate in ASTA's 2022 Legislative Day. We will meet with Congressional representatives to explain what a professional travel advisor does and how Congress can help our industry.
ASTA has been working tirelessly to have the White House remove this impediment for travelers returning home the U.S. It looks like it will now happen.
