Le Petit Roc Appartment, St Jean d’Aulps

Le Petit Roc comfortably sleeps 4 although the bed settee can sleep another 2 if required.

Bedroom 1
This room has a Double bed with pine bedside drawers on either side with pretty traditional Haute Savoie lamps, smart overhead cupboards and a funky hanging rail optimising storage.

Bedroom 2
This room has two single beds with a pine bedside locker in between, modern overhead cupboards and a funky hanging rail offering ample storage.

The bedrooms are simply decorated in a blend of modern meets Alpine! Three of the walls are painted white, the remaining wall has a stunning feature wall clad in beautiful 3D timber giving a warm Alpine feel. The cupboard doors above the beds are a modern light grey colour which looks great agains the 3D timber.
The rooms are dressed with crisp white bed linen, and black faux fur throws and cushions. Wooden floors complete the rooms.

Storage was an issue, but not anymore…the overhead cupboards are a fantastic solution and provide ample storage for all our clothes without taking up space within the rooms.

Delighted with the result and the reason for painting the wall black…if it were white it would show through as the wood expands and contracts! A few things to do to finish this room, doors on the cupboards, matching pine 3 drawer bedside tables and cute side lamps! Can’t wait to see it all finished! •

Bathroom done ✅ we’ve removed the ugly sink, tiny bath and dated tiles and fitted a modern shower with rain shower, toilet, sink and retiled with plain grey and Fez black white and grey tiles! We think a much better use of the space.

After working our little fingers to the bone renovating our apartment and before returning to Northern Ireland we went out for a delicious meal in a nearby restaurant, just 5 minutes walk away called the ‘Auberge de la Terche’ we chose the Reblochonnade and we can highly recommend it! Roasted Reblochon, a bloomy-rind cow's milk cheese, is melted in a special brazier—this is a tasty meal of the melted cheese served with charcuterie, boiled potatoes, pickled cornichons and salad! 🙌 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ •

We chose these pretty door k***s .bricolage_taninges (my favourite shop!) for our newly painted kitchen, a little bit of french chic! I love them and they finish off the kitchen perfectly….what do you think?

We’re upgrading the bathroom….the apartment had a bathroom with a small bath and wash-hand basin. The wc was in a separate room. We’ve removed the bath and have fitted a shower cubicle with rain shower, wc and small washhand basin. The lighting was insufficient for the room and made it dark and pokey, the addition of bright led lighting and mirrors have really brightened this space!
Just to tile the bathroom now in a smart grey with a band of grey, black and white geometric tiles, can’t wait to get it finished! ❤️

We’ve been busy renovating the apartment! We’ve added an ‘L’ which gives us so much more space, added another set of drawers, painted it grey and added lovely new door k***s. We plan to add an oven and replace the wall tiles next!
