Wow! It's time to think ahead for a great trip in Aug 2026. Virgin Voyages is about to start scheduling two fantastic itineraries where you get to see the next total solar eclipse. One is through the Med and the other is 15 days through Scotland and Iceland. They haven't released prices yet but they go on sale on 21 Aug and I have placeholders that can give you $300 fare discount and a nice stack of onboard credit. The amount of credit depends on the length of your cruise.

If you’ve ever considered taking a cruise with Virgin Voyages, now is THE time to book. They just reopened an offer to offset your airfare with a discount, even if you don’t book air with them or even book air travel at all.
Caribbean or Bahamian cruises will get a $500 fare reduction per cabin on XL Sea Terrace and below. This also gives a $300 bar tab on sailings of 6 days or less and a $600 bar tab on longer sailings. This offer is open until 29 June and good for sailings through April 2024.
PLUS, you can combine this with one of my Virgin Voyages placeholders. These are only available when you are onboard a ship ( I am). If you buy one of those from me for $300, it gives you an additional $300 off the fare plus $600 in onboard credit. This OBC can be used for anything on the ship including the casino!

That’s some pretty great math. For a cruise out of Florida, you can get $800 off your fare for a Sea Terrace or XL Sea Terrace and still get $600 in OBC and a $300 bar tab. I even added a Florida discount to mine.
European cruises have even bigger offers.

OK. This is a real Wow of a promotion.
Until 24 May, Virgin Voyages is giving big credits to offset airfare PLUS a $300 or $600 bar tab. The amount of airfare credit varies based on cruise length. We are getting a $500 credit for a 4-day cruise even though we aren't booking air. This deal is stackable with Future Virgin Voyages placeholders, if you have one. Those give $300 off the current fare plus $600 in onboard credit. All tolled, on a 4-day cruise, we will be getting a $300 bar tab and $600 in onboard credit.

Here is a short guide for first timers on Virgin Voyages. More than most cruise lines, this feels like it can easily be anything you need. This last cruise was a very easy and relaxing one. Other times, we’ve been more high energy and fun loving. It checks a lot of boxes.
