Lorenzo is a bracelet maker at one of the stores in Cozumel. He makes name bracelets and has been doing it for 25 years! ๐
He was so good at making these name bracelets, that he was able to have a conversation with me and work on a bracelet at the same time. Talk about talented.
I really enjoyed the island, everyone was eager to help and very friendly.

Did you know? Cozumel is a tourist island so most of the economy is dependent upon tourists. Please keep that in mind if you would like to travel to this island. Be courteous and it wouldn't hurt to throw in a tip every now and again โค๏ธ๐

This was one of the store owners on the beach in Cozumel. I was pressed for time and unfortunately didnt get her name. She offered a variety of items like jewelry, shells clothing and ......get this .......anime figurines. I am a proud member of the anime community, anyone else??!! If only she had something from Demon slayer ๐ง๐ฅฐ

Everyone this rum right here was sooooo good and smooth. I ended up getting a larger bottle of the mango rum, the alcohol content isn't very much but man does it sure taste good.

๐จ๐ฆ๐ !!! Whoever was the first person to say "you need a vacation from your vacation" should have trade marked it because ๐ฆ๐๐ฆ. I had such a great time it has taken me 3 weeks to ๐ญ๐ฐ๐ต๐จ๐ณ๐ณ๐ get back into the swing of things ๐๐

Ocho Rios, Cozumel and The Grand Caymen (not so much the Grand Caymen but stay tuned for that story ๐ง) was so beautiful. We learned a bunch of things from the tours we went on and tasted some good rum and tequila too ๐คช.

3 More Days to go before we fly out for our cruise to Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. And of course I have 3 more items that will help you travel with ease of mind.
1. ***TOP MUST HAVE***โจ is a neck lanyard. You might be thinking that this is ridiculous but trust me!! When you decide to get back on the ship from port you are required to show your room key/ boarding pass ( you will receive this when you check in at your designated chosen time) It is SUPER convenient to have a neck lanyard for you to put your key in. This will completely eliminate you scurrying to find what pocket you put your card in. PLUS it is (or should be) practically impossible to lose something that is around your neck. ๐ง๐
2.***TOP MUST HAVE**** โจOk everyone... for my first cruise I went to the Bahamas I wore flip flops to walk to the beach (which was further than expected). For what ever reason I thought that Caribbean heat was the same as North Carolina heat (for all of you that doesn't know ITS NOT!!) The beach sand was so pretty, but was so hot i am surprised that it wasn't a beach full of glass. I decided to buy some pool shoes from a small shop that was at the entrance of the beach. They were very cheap and didn't really do a lot to protect my feet but just enough for me to still enjoy myself. ( The walk back to the ship was very painful though ๐ฅน๐ฅน๐ don't get me started on the pavement ๐ตโ๐ซ) Having beach shoes with padding on the bottom or ones that are more like sneakers will prevent you from having a similar experience.
3. Plastic Gloves aren't a must have but definitely handy for those of us who are still conscious of germs. Yes we are going on a ship which is a closed space with a lot of different people from a lot of different places BUT that doesn't mean that we cant be conscious of things we can control. Shower shoes, hand sanitizer and plastic gloves can help minimize any germs from others. When eating anywhere that is self serve you could use disposable gloves to serve yourself and family ๐

We are coming to the end of our countdown!!! 4 more days until we are sea bound ๐ณ๐ณ. A couple of more reminders of things to consider to pack for our cruise.
1. NeckFan- in addition to a brimmed hat a neckfan will have you staying cool no matter the temperature. A brimmed hat and neckfan are a cruisers must have'sโจ
2. This will be my first time flying in to cruise. One of the biggest concerns with flying is making sure that your bag meets the weight requirements of the airline you are using. In order to make sure that I am good to go I am using a luggage scale that my mother purchased. This way my check in at the airport is smooth sailing from start to finish. (Hopefully ๐ง๐)
3. You can always bring Lysol wipes with you to sanitize your room, but when it comes to the shower I like to take extra precaution by bringing some disposable flip flops. Flip Flops are very light so you could trade them with a pair of shoes that weigh more, pack the flip flops and wear the heavier shoe. ๐ค

The countdown continues!!
22 More days until my cruise to Ocho Rios, Grand Caymon and Cozumel. As stated before packing early is just one of my many tips to pave the way for a smooth trip. 3 more things that I have packed for my upcoming trip are:
1. Backpack/fanny- Traveling with a purse isnt ideal, but having access to your wallet/ passport or other important documents is important, thats where a backpack or fanny pack comes in. I highly suggest the backpack over the fanny pack, you can place a water bottle on the sides for consistent access to hydration** VERY IMPORTANT*** ๐ฆ๐ง๐ง๐ฆ
2. Brimmed Hat WITH STRING- ok folks this may seem obvious but my very first cruise I purchased a very cute floppy hat...so cute but EXTREMLY Useless!! it kept flying off of my head from the high winds. I walked around the first day with one hand on my head ๐๐.
3. Dramamine- Motion Sickness anyone?? Dramamine can help best part about this...you can find this at the $$store ๐๐

23 More Days until my next Cruise!!! One thing that I have learned along the way of my traveling days is you never have to get ready if you stay ready!! On the day of your trip you have to get up, get ready, get to the airport, check your bags and make sure that you have time to get in a quick bite to eat. For new traveler and even veterans this can become stressful especially if you remember at the last minute you forgot to pack something!!!!!
So in order to make travel as serene as possible I pack EXTREMLY early. For this cruise coming up I have packed.
1. 2 bathing suits - On Carnival Cruises there is an extra charge to wash/dry your clothing. Packing two suits ensures that I always have a dry bathing suit to hop in the jacuzzi ๐๐
2. Jacket/Shawl- Weather is unpredictable! Just in case it is a little bit more windy than expected or the temperature on the boat isn't to your liking ๐ฅถ๐ฅถ
3. Extra Set of Clothes- If you have extra room in your luggage packing 1-2 extra outfits is a must! If you plan on getting off the boat and walking around prepare to sweat ALOT! No one wants to get back on the boat and go to dinner smelly and sweaty!! ๐ง๐ง๐ง
