We recently went on a little adventure to discover breathtaking views and perfect photo spots to help flex our long exposure muscles. Some spots are well known, others are a bit more off the beaten path. The small streams and rivers throughout Lapland offer great opportunities for photographers to find the perfect long exposure composition.

To capture silky, long-exposure shots of waterfalls, use a tripod for stability and a neutral density (ND) filter to reduce light. Set a slow shutter speed and keep your ISO low with a smaller aperture. Use a remote shutter or timer to minimize shake. These steps help in creating dreamy, flowing water effects in your photos. 🌊📸

The best time of the year for a waterfall adventure is late summer to fall.
