So nice to be able to walk to a dog friendly pub offering good food and drinks 🥤 🍻
Endless, quiet, peaceful beach at Dyffryn,
Bwlch Y Groes Pass, the most scenic route between Lake Vyrnwy and Dinas Mawddwy, on a quiet Monday night it’s a delightful drive but I wouldn’t want to try it on a busy Saturday afternoon
We’re all going to be driving them soon so we thought we’d better install an electric car charging point here at Bryn Y Felin. Thanks to RJ Electrics for a swift and speedy job
All of our interior furnishings were supplied by curtains, shutters, sofas, beds, bedding…… you get the idea. Book a short break with us to see for yourself or take look in their Oswestry showroom
Costa Del Dyffryn, do you like to find nice quiet beaches with endless sand? Dyffryn beach never gets crowded like it’s near neighbours, when you stay here at Bryn Y Felin you can stroll down through the dunes or park in the National Trust or Dyffryn Seaside Estate car parks.
Paddle board, kayak or just go for a paddle
There’s a multitude of cycle lanes around Dyffryn, today we rode to Harlech for an ice cream with a detour on the return journey towards Cwm Bychqn and a stop off for a pint in Llanbedr at the Victoria
Had a trip to Portmeirion today, it’s been a while since we visited and it’s still spectacular - here’s a little tip book an afternoon tea or a meal in the hotel and you get in free!!! Saving £18 per adult
Reports of thunder and lightning with trees blocking roads in and around Oswestry and this is the view here in Dyffryn
They do say the sun shines on the righteous
That there be Eryri (Snowdon) no snow peaked mountain today, what a beautiful day (must remember to apply sun cream)
Walked the three miles along the beach to for a delicious lunch before losing £1 of 2ps in the slot machines then making our way back to Dyffryn along the beach.
What a lovely bank holiday Monday, we took the opportunity to cycle the Mawddach trail again with several stop offs, for a lovely lunch then onto Barmouth for ice cream from and it was such a lovely afternoon we stopped back for a pint in the GeorgeIII before heading back to Dyffryn
We’re not really good at the social media thing, but here’s a pic from the tempestuous beach at Dyffryn today, might not have been the bright sunshine of the last few days but you’ll have to agree it’s still spectacular
Beautiful afternoon in Barmouth, after the showers the sun came out, the view of the Mawddach estuary never gets old
Dyffryn beach is beautiful whatever time of year
Moelfre has its winter coat on today, stunning clear views across to the Llyn from here , bit slippy underfoot but a wonderful walk down to the beach today
Amazing lights display in Talybont
Now this may not be Dyffryn, but it may explain part of why our whole family love this special part of Wales so much.
This random picture popped up on Facebook, guess what that’s my grandparents camper van (who knew nanny and grandad were so ahead of their time, and you can see her perm) one of my earliest memories is going on holiday with them in their camper to camp site, such regulars they had their own spot, across the railway line and you were on the beach.
What a beautiful day in Barmouth today
We’re loving the feedback that the house and Dyffryn are getting from our guests ❤️😍
Little snap of Llandanwg Church taken on our walk last week, one of the oldest Churches in Wales parts date from the 6th Century, maybe as early as 450AD, oh an there’s a lovely little cafe and car park for you too if you fancy a visit
