Lavender fields are one of the attractions, not only of Provence but also of the town of Săcuieni. Every year there are crowds of local people and of tourists from Romania who visit the Lavender Farm in Săcuieni. The season usually starts from May to October. Of course, the best time to visit is during summer and holidays. The most beautiful lavender fields can be admired in the first week of July. If the summer is warm and the weather doesn’t play any special tricks, then the lavender field in Săcueni is the number one attraction.

Tourism is a concept with many meanings, it can mean something completely different to everyone. The churches in Săcueni are undoubtedly tourist sites because of architecture, but also sacred significance for believers in God. In Săcueni there are many different -bigger or smaller-religious denominations, but only three of them have an imposing gathering place which can be interesting also as a tourist destination. These three types of church are the roman catholic, reformed, and orthodox churches.

Nature is one of the main factors that attract people. In the area of the Bihor region, you will find many places connected with nature. One of them is the Cicoş Lake.

Cicoş Lake is a protected area of national importance (nature reserve, mixed type) located in the northern part of Bihor county. Cicoş Lake is near the village of Olosig, which belongs administratively to the city of Săcuieni.

The Vadas Forest is a territory that extends itself trough the Valea Ierului area and hosts all kinds of wildlife and species. Zoltan Bokor Jr. is the current forest keeper and was happy to show us around and share his vast knowledge regarding the forest and everything it entails within its borders.

Anett runs her cheese business called Netty Sajt since 2017 with the help of her father who takes care of the cows to have the freshest milk possible for the delicious cheeses you can see in the video. A ‘Kúria’ is an old mansion that was owned by noble, wealthy families in the past. You can find many of these in the Region. For this video we visited the Komaromi Mansion in the village of Otomani/Ottomány, just 15 kilometres away from Săcueni

Built in the 17th century by the Komaromi family, today it is open to welcome visitors! It was recently renovated and still preserves its original doors, wall paintings and floors. It’s a unique visit totally worth it!

Together with the mansion, you can visit the gardens and a perfectly preserved medieval tunnel of 87 meters long!

Árus László has actively participated in the growth of thermal baths in Sânnicolau de Munte, ecause he was the pioneer in getting it fixed and improved and he continued to make more and more space available to accommodate more people there.

You can find many variations of Lángos, some baked like this one, others deep fried,... They are all super tasty!

For this occasion we went to the Studenberg Castle to cook it in its old oven… Mouthwatering!

After being abandoned for almost 40 years, today, Săcueni’s Orthodox Church looks like this. An amazing building with walls full of history!

Everybody is welcome to visit it and discover its religious paintings, breathtaking ceilings and all the art inside this building, where you can also take your time for a prayer

Thanks to Suteu Vlad Sergiu, the church’s priest, who gave us an amazing tour!
