A Show of Stallions!

A very lekker day with super interesting guests from Sydney. We were treated to a procession of some of the top studs in the world on the Rupert family stud farm. These incredible animals were bred from the best stallions in the world. Truly breathtaking to see these magnificent creatures up close!

This South African manufactured 1991 BMW 525i was made world famous by the fabulous Esther Mahlangu. She is known for her bold large-scale contemporary paintings that reference her Ndebele heritage. She is one of South Africa's best known artists.

Mahlangu’s BMW 525i Art Car is returning to South Africa for the first time in over 30 years. Mahlangu became the first African and woman to paint a BMW Art Car in 1991. This collaboration marked a significant moment in the art world, blending African art with contemporary automotive design.

The car is in Cape Town until the end of the year, after which she will be heading overseas again. It's really cool. Come check it out at the National Gallery!
