Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey is hoping to jump-start the replacement of the two bridges connecting Cape Cod to the rest of the state by focusing first on federal dollars to replace the Sagamore Bridge before turning to the Bourne Bridge.

NOTICE: Upcoming maintenance work along the Cape Cod Canal will impact access to some of our recreation areas later this month and in early July.
WORK: Parking Lot Repairs, Crack Filling, Sealing, and Markings
WHEN: ---Weather dependent--- the below Recreation Areas will be CLOSED to public access during the following dates:
June 20-22: Bourne Recreation Area
June 23-27: Tidal Flats Recreation Area
June 28-30: Sagamore Recreation Area
Work along portions of the north and south service roads will take place July 5-7th.

Sagamore Bridge work on Nov. 5th
🌉 Maintenance work will be performed on the from 8:00 pm on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2020 to 5:00 am on Friday, Nov. 6, 2020. Travel lanes will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction.
Work schedule is weather permitting.

The blades on this turbine in Plymouth haven't turned for most of the summer. Recently, giant cranes have been used to remove the blades, and repairs are underway. The four gigantic 500 feet tall turbines are situated in the town of Plymouth, but right on the Bourne border. Bourne residents in abutting neighborhoods have complained vigorously of ill effects to their health.
One lane on the Sagamore Bridge from 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sep. 17, 2020 to 5 a.m. on Friday, Sep. 18,
Asphalt repair work will be performed on the Bridge from 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sep. 17, 2020 to 5 a.m. on Friday, Sep. 18, 2020. During this time, travel lanes on the Sagamore Bridge will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction.
