Come and learn about the spring birds, calling for mates, starting to nest, migrants are returning. Learn to identify for yourself and enjoy the knowledge at home

Quinta Bird Watch
22nd April
9.30-12.30

Spend time with an experienced birder learning about the birds of our local area.
This is a busy time of year for observing summer migrants such as Bee eater and Booted and Snake eagles and if we are lucky we will see our first Orioles. We will listen to their calls and songs and observe their coming and going’s and talk about how to identify each species
Coffee and tea provided after
If you have you own binoculars please feel free to bring them.
Group size is limited to six per session to ensure everyone gets to learn as much as possible and to keep our noise to a minimum!
Booking and prepayment is essential to secure your place
Payment can be done online or in person at our Quinta in Aguas
Sessions will take place at our Quinta in Aguas not far from the Termas.

Now the summer heat has gone we are restarting our bird walks. Details of the first one are below:

Quinta Bird Walk
20th November
9.30-12.30

Spend time with an experienced birder learning about the birds of our local area.
This is a busy time of year for observing winter migrants such as Red Kites and Firecrests. We will listen to their calls and songs and observe their coming and going’s and talk about how to identify each species
Coffee and tea provided after
If you have you own binoculars please feel free to bring them.
Group size is limited to six per session to ensure everyone gets to learn as much as possible and to keep our noise to a minimum!
Booking and prepayment is essential to secure your place

Sessions will take place at our Quinta in Aguas

A recent bird survey morning to a local producer of organic fruit and veg gave us a good opportunity to pick their brains about our own gardening efforts while producing good list from a couple of hours walking the land with the farm owner, here is our list
