🍽️French Market Restaurant at Disneyland will be reimagined into Tiana’s Palace, the newest restaurant on Orleans Street, later this year!

👑Tiana’s Palace will have much of the same pinch of pizzazz and flair as the restaurant from the film, offering authentic New Orleans flavors inspired by Tiana’s friends and adventures in this quick-service style restaurant.

What made me fall in love with cruising, after going to the beach for summer trips all my life? 🚢

❎ Not having to unload all that food, drinks and luggage to stock a rental for a week.

❎ No sand getting in everywhere.

❎ No lugging my beach bag and chair down elevators to the water.

❎ No cleaning up dishes in a kitchen.

❎ No washing a load of towels a day.

❎ No getting in a hot car, to fight dinner traffic, to eat supper.

Cruising is a truly relaxing vacation, with all the things I have grown to appreciate, easily available. The ocean views, good food, and coffee room service. ☕️

History nerd + History Teacher = 10,724 steps through Old Town, San Juan, Puerto Rico!

✨ A beautiful town that reminds me of New Orleans, LA and Savannah, GA, with lots of wrought iron balconies. I would come back here and spend a night or two, just to continue exploring.

And in Disney style- I go to get on the elevator last night and there stood Cinderella! 😍

Yesterday was an Incredible day!

Edna Mode, Remy, Sulley, Mickey Mouse himself! I get giggly when I turn a corner and there is a character! 🥳

Todays food was a special Pixar menu - so we just had to sample every dessert on it! 🤭

The highlight of the day was Meet The Storytellers! Mr. Bob Peterson himself was here! It was a core memory for me, to listen to him do the voices, and explain how the movies came to be developed and produced. (And if you know our family, you know how much The Good Dinosaur movie means to us.)

It ended with fireworks at sea, and of course room service!

Yes, Disney days end with room service. ✨

Today’s action started with princesses, and a Toy Story breakfast, then continued all the way to the after supper Aladdin show, which had fireworks on the stage! (I think the ‘magic carpet’ was my favorite 🤩)

And the food! 😍 That’s going to have it’s on post later.

Tomorrow is the first ever Pixar Day! Let’s hope the coffee is strong for that one🥳 !

✨ My favorite things from this resort- the coffee drawer, bathrobes, small bedside shelf with a charging port, your own reading light, vaulted ceilings and, of course, it’s own Cadillac! I will miss you, but I have a boat to catch. 🚢

Disney has been giving their resort rooms an upgrade! Check out the room under the bed to store your suitcase and bags! This really lets you enjoy your room and not step around suitcases the entire time! As my daughter says- it’s the little things that makes Disney so awesome! ✨

You don’t have to travel around the world for adventure. Sometimes, the best trip, is right outside your backyard! Highly recommend Rock City’s Enchanted Garden of Lights. Tickets are sold online, and you select your entry time. Best day to go in is a Tuesday or Wednesday night, 7 CST or later. Stop in the Starbucks across from the entrance and grab your hot chocolate. Or you can stop at the lookout point and purchase some there. Don’t forget to see Santa! Take the family, take your time, and take lots of pictures.
