We have just launched "The Vintage", a 1962 beauty. We stayed in this place about 7 months while restoring this property to its current beauty. I loved the views out the windows of mountains, sunsets, birds and flowers. Please come and enjoy and share the link with friends....

Today John and I discovered GypseyFoxJava.com . This vibrant, energetic, big hearted lady, Ondrea, has openned this little business to help people get their pets spayed or nutered here in Yuma. Coffee was good, and I do not drink coffee anymore. Please check her out and buy a coffee and support pets in our area getting fixed.

Comming soon "The Vintage" our precious jewel on the property. Her looks were upgraded with botox (new windows and doors) and lipstick ( new paint inside and out). Can not wait to do her glamor shots soon and show her off. She has a new upgraded system (splits and instant hot water heaters). She is decked out with fun and functional furniture and two work spaces. You wont believe she is a 1962 trailor. Pics outfront deck, glimpse of what is coming up soon.

God is so good. He has healled my three hirniated organs per my MRI and doc. Now it is just strenthening up. I have talked to my two cleaners and they are sure they can cover the cleaning in all but the rarest cases. So after much prayer, John and I have decided to relist t he units. Dear friends who have joined us on this journey- we appreciate you and your patience. Sometimes life gives us U-Turns! This project has affected my health, and my lower back is in a great deal of pain. Doctor here locally says I need an extensive surgery as many of my organs are misaligned in my pelvic region. The second opinion is not happening until January 25th at Mayo clinic. In the meantime, back bracing and pain have become my companions. John and I have made a business discussion and have decided to put all six units up for rent. When our tenants move out after 12 months or more, we will unit by unit consider getting them back on Airbnb. If you know of anyone looking for a rental in Yuma Foothills area, please have them email us at [email protected] and put rental in subject line.

We trust Jesus Christ in this journey. He has the power and authority to heal. If He does not choose to heal, we know that He walks beside me and comforts me.

Today we launched two of these amazing units at the Hidden Palms Oasis.

We are proud to introduce the Monarch and the Mesa Ridge. They show up in 24 hrs. on Airbnb. This project has been 7 months, and in the next 30 days we hope to introduce the Mirage and The Vintage. Please stay tune.

We would like to say "Thank you" to so many dear helping hands that have come along on our journey. Our daughter Angel that spotted this worn-out beauty of property in February when she was down and advocated for us to look at it. A special thank you to our hardworking contractor, cleaner and sister in the Lord Lynn, John's Mom and Dad Joel and Joyce for making sure we were fed on many long hard days, especially in the heat of summer, our son Ryan spending many weeks giving us a hand and repairing decks, windows and doors. In August we had a bit of a windstorm in Hurricane Hillary, that blew a lot of things around including some fence railing. Lynn saved most of our stuff, as we were away. Kara our daughter came and helped us sweep away the mess and debris. Rob, our contractor that fixed the worn-out windbreaks and made such amazing skirting under the units. Denis who helped a spell. Then there was the encouragement of guest we have hosted, friends and people in the faith. This journey in life is lightened by dear family and friends.

Painting done in the laundry room. Flooring going down. The laundry room will be shared by the four units..Vintage, Hitchiker, Mesa Ridge and Mirage. Vintage does have its own washing Machine, so it will just need the dryer or use the solar dryer outside. We are continually grateful for this oportunity to make a business that will provide hospitable, economic homestays; help us keep giving to organizations like Liberty Road Foundation, Santa for Seniors and The Rock Tour Bus, while affording the blessing of some additional income going into our retirement years.

Today, I begin the walkway patio off the Mirage. As I place each brick, I am reminded that their beauty and functionality come from the many, not the one.Though important that each piece is fitly joined. The pattern keeps looking better the more they are join and leveled well. I am reminded how this illuatration of unity and fully measured and placed fits my faith story.

Today, I continue the process of moving stones to make a better landing for you to walk on. As I wheelbarrow the stones and separate the debris and sand from them and relocate them on the property, where they will better serve us and you, I am reminded that God refers to me as His living stone and Himself as the chief corner stone. I look to the full measure of Him as the example of righteousness and I join His body with all the other living stones where He cleanses me- all the more- knocking the debris off my life that does not serve Him.

Come to the Lord, the living stone rejected by people as worthless but chosen by God as valuable. Come as living stones, and let yourselves be used in building the spiritual temple, where you will serve as holy priests to offer spiritual and acceptable sacrifices to God through Jesus Christ. For the scripture says, “I chose a valuable stone, which I am placing as the cornerstone in Zion; and whoever believes in him will never be disappointed.” This stone is of great value for you that believe; but for those who do not believe: “The stone which the builders rejected as worthless turned out to be the most important of all.” And another scripture says, “This is the stone that will make people stumble, the rock that will make them fall.” They stumbled because they did not believe in the word; such was God's will for them. This last weekend we compiled a list of things we still need to complete to feel we are ready to roll out the red carpet for you. Three pages of items on the list. Being God is the Director of this venture- we can rest that we are doing what He has called us to do as well as rest in His timing. We keep our eyes on Him and what we can do. In His timing, His strength and provision we meet that goal. We wait upon our Lord: Isaiah 40:31 "but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." Sheetrock, painting, steps, roofing, outdoor tiles, wood chopping, window trimming, landscaping, cleaning ....

Landscaping at "The Hidden Palms Oasis". The sweet willows that dance so delicately in the wind enchant me. I am awed at their seeds in the pods, as they look much like darling ladybugs. Sure our Creator did that, so the birds will eat the seeds and the willows will be replanted, and so they are.

We continue to do much of the work ourselves. We do thank Lynn, for being here as much as she can. She is our main cleaner. Her help with painting and other miscellaneous things has been so appreciated. Today she painted the skirt of the Hitchhiker II. John and I added a touch of the tropics to one of our units this evening.

Days are getting longer and hotter here in Yuma. You can find me here at KABre "The Hidden Palms Oasis", as early as 6 am. So many dump runs and a lot of landscaping clean up. It is nice when help shows up but, there are many hours I am on my own. For me, since I am given to hospitality, I love companionship and the good Lord knowing that, sent me my friend, Freckles.

Today, Ryan is getting the last of the new windows in. Additionally, two windows that lived behind this shelf covered up. Should be cozy in winter and cool in summer now. The windows and the new splits keeping the temperature just right.
