Arrived in Spain three weeks ago, but it feels like it could be months; on some Sundays, even years.

Apart from a few weekend sojourns, we've been living like the locals. The local hiperber supermercado sees us every few days as we stock up on prawns, baguettes, olives, pickles, and the fresh veg they have in that day.

Spain seems to have it just right——-From two to five every afternoon, the little town where we're staying virtually shuts down for siesta. Sundays hark back to how they used to be – with all the shops closed and a complete day of rest. Seaside restaurants serve delicious garlic prawns for just €4, and a bottle of Rosé is a similar price.

I'm averaging about 10 swims a day, eating almost as many lime Calippos, and consuming just as many beach reads—so much so, I'm inspired to try my hand at writing one myself.

Spain feels like the pace at which life is meant to be lived. And it is lovely. x
