This design was born of an overwhelming craving for an El's shrimp burger, and a little bit of grief.

Growing up, any time my family found it's way to El's Drive In for dinner, my Daddy would always have a field day with tossing leftover fries to the sea gulls. I lost my Dad in 2015, and moved from NC in 2018. I designed this to honor one of the most iconic Carteret County eating spots, and to pay homage to someone I miss deeply.

Now with the demolition and eventual renovation of the original El's building, this design is even more sentimental for me. Here's your chance to own a tiny piece of Morehead City history and let people know you remember the original.

I'm trying a little something new and offering a Cup/Car Combo for this design - a smaller one suitable for your favorite cup or tumbler, and another larger one suitable for your car!

Conservation is key, Rachel Carson did a lot of great things for this world, but what I'm most thankful for is what she did for Carteret County. Our natural habitats are so unique, especially along the sound. This article is a great example of how important it is to preserve these areas, and maybe inspire us to rethink what we've done in developing the shorelines and what ways we could better it.

I can't let this post go by without mentioning that keeping this patch of woods a thriving environment, happened because of this community's united effort. A huge shout out to the local chapter of Surfrider Foundation, I know using your platform to raise awareness to the development plans was a major part of why we and the animals get to enjoy these trees for many years to come 💚🌳

I was instantly in love with this accounts feed. Another great example of how this place is unlike any other, and how unique each and every photographer of the Crystal Coast truly is. I look at pictures of the same subject matter over and over, and none of them are alike.

This photo truly captures that feeling, something that can't be put into words is easily felt on this photo and I believe that feeling is why so many of us are connected to this place. Thanks for letting me share it! And follow .ssunshine for more!

I don't normally use this account for personal reasons, but today is a very special day. This beautiful girl right here turns 18 today! I met her when she was 1, and she legally became my niece when I married her uncle 11 years ago. I can't begin to explain the bond we have and how much I've admired her since she was just a small child. She has overcome so much in the past couple of years and deserves to feel like a queen as she takes her first steps into adulthood. So I'm asking all of you if you see her in your shops, at the skate park or the beach this week, please say Happy Birthday Allie! and help me make her feel as special as she truly is.

thanks for this beautiful moment. I love our locals and this girl is a great example why. She is pure sunshine and has worked so hard to be where she is today.

I met her around the time she hung up her poms and started going to college to be a dental hygienist. She worked hard and now has achieved her goals. I'm sure every child who sits in her chair leaves with a shinny white smile 😁

If you're a local teen and the thought of college/career/life seems way overwhelming compared to your beachy life you've had so far, then let be an example for you. It won't be easy, you'll have to focus and work hard. But in the end, you'll be dancing in the sand with a life you can be proud of creating. You can do this, you are and always will be a Crystal Coaster 🌊🌻

Also I must mention that adorable suit she is wearing comes from a local Eastern NC company
