Nearly 150 stays, hundreds of guests, and three years later, it is bittersweet to announce the ending of Jack’s Cabin VRBO. This home has been a special gathering place for our family for decades. We are overjoyed to have had the opportunity to share this cabin with friends, family, and strangers (from all over the country) who have made new lifelong memories. The 101 five-star reviews are all so kindly written and we appreciate each and every one. We will also cherish everyone who wrote in the guest journals—such a wonderful record of memories for years to come. Undoubtedly, Jack continues to smile down on these grounds from beyond.

Happily, we welcome Jack’s eldest son, Tim, & his wife, Jan, as they move in and embrace their new home. Many blessings to them and thank you all again for these last three years!

With a thin layer of ice on the pond and winter approaching, Jack’s Cabin will be closed for stays until mid March 2023. Our last tenants of the season left yesterday, but you can still book today for next year! Thanks to all that visited us this year. We really enjoy sharing our cabin with you.

Really nice message left from our most recent guests, stopping at the cabin on their journey home after a 2-week road trip out west:

“We were glad to get back to the country and a place that was so much like home. Our town is less than 500 and we really missed the green and hills when traveling out west. The cabin was well stocked, plenty of towels, comfy beds and couch. We enjoyed the fire pit and having it ready for a fire was a very nice touch. All of the personal touches— games, blankets, books, room at the table, fans... I could go on and on. It was very obvious that this is a place for friends, family, and gathering. We are hoping to come visit again. Perhaps the next visit will be during the winter with snow—we don’t get very much of that in Central Alabama. Thank you for an amazing place to unwind.”
