Earth-tone color hats are looking really nice!

We’ve always had our gear printed by “StrongHold Ink” which is Navajo-owned out of Farmington, NM.

Always in support of quality work and if it’s made with Indigenous hands, we’re definately digging that!

Sharing a few photos from our fantastic 2024 river season! 📷

Our logo first made waves on the San Juan River in the Autumn season of 2022. 🔥 Last year was our second full season providing Indigenous river adventures and it was a remarkable one filled with fun and comradeship.

2025, the drive is to continue providing super cool tours for our awesome guests but we’ll always strive for uniqueness. 🪶

This year we’re super stoked to make waves on the waters again! 🌀

We’re excited to announce that in 2025, we’re expanding our operations to include guided tours in the spectacular lands of Monument Valley! 🏜️

This unique tour with a special itinerary will start and finish in Bluff, UT. During this scenic and cultural adventure, guests will also visit the “Valley of the Gods”, located north of the San Juan River.

We’re bringing the pow-wow vibes to the San Juan River. Our awesome friends “Lightning Horse” drum group will liven up the place with music and culture when they come out to join us for a Spring river trip.

Thanks to our awesome guests for sharing some snapshots from their October river trip with us. The pics remind us of all the wild fun we have along the river ranging from adventurous hikes to hanging out by the fire at camp. Bears Ears Partnership brought their friends out to the river where we became one big family!

Ancient Wayves had the priviledge of attending the 2024 Navajo Nation Tourism conference in Page, Az.

There was great presentations and informative panels throughout the event. Meeting other Indigenous owned businesses who are striving to grow and provide quality service was very inspirational.

The hospitality of the conference host, event organizers and various tour operators who sponsored the event was exquisite. Great food, music by DJ Sixkiller, Navajo song-singing and overall great atmosphere amongst attendees!

One of the highlights of the two-day event was exploring Antelope Canyon with awesome guides! Pretty magical place.

The mystical lands we roam have been inhabited by people since time immemorial. Stories of gatherings and ceremonies radiate from the landscape.

The delicateness level of this region is very high. Round here, we gotta tread softy. “Preserve and Protect” is not only a motto for police, but for us guides as well.

Autumn hiking is in full effect! Come on out for a guided adventure in magnificent canyon country of southeast Utah.

Our recent guests (John, Kathy, Lyn & Gary) came out to southeast Utah for an adventure amongst the mystical lands of the Bear’s Ears. Not only did they get to see awesome views, they were able to hear stories about what they were seeing. The plants, rock formations, wildlife, bodies of water & archaeological sites each have unique stories.
