She has worked with Broadway luminaries such as Idina Menzel, Chita Rivera, Betty Buckley and more, as well as with the rock bands Green Day and Phish. She has also worked extensively in regional American theatre, London and Australia.

The Lion King opened on this day, November 13th, 26 years ago in 1997. It played the New Amsterdam Theatre until 2006, then transferred to its current home, The Minskoff. To date it has played over 10,000 performances on Broadway - and thousands upon thousands more around the world.

THEATRE NEWS!
The 77th annual Tony Awards will take place on June 16, 2024, at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City.
The Koch Theater, originally called the New York State Theater, opened in 1964. It is currently home to the New York City Ballet. The 2024 Tonys will mark the first time the awards ceremony has been presented at this venue. The venue has a seating capacity of 2,550 on six levels.
The cutoff for the 2023-2024 Broadway season will be April 25, 2024. Nominations will be announced on April 30.

September 22, 1964
“Fiddler on the Roof” opens at the Imperial theatre in NYC.
Songwriting team Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick collaborated with librettist Joseph Stein to write a musical based on stories by Sholom Aleichem. The result was “Fiddler on the Roof”, a story of Tevye, a Jewish milkman in early 1900s Russia who struggles to honor tradition while dealing with the growing anti-Jewish sentiment in his country.
Directed and choreographed by Jerome Robbins, the production starred Zero Mostel as Tevye and featured Maria Karnilova as Golde, Bea Arthur as Yente, Austin Pendleton as Motel, Bert Convy as Perchik, Joanna Merlin as Tzeitel and Julia Migenes as Hodel.

Provincetown, or P-Town as it’s lovingly and widely known, is a small but bustling town at the northern tip of Massachusetts’ Cape Cod. A 2.5 hour drive (or 30 minute flight) from Boston, it has famously been a mecca for artists and the LGBTQIA+ community for many years - however it is also extremely friendly and welcoming towards all travelers, including solo visitors and families.
With the draws of a beachside town, such as a lively Commercial Street with fabulous restaurants, fun bars, salt water taffy/candy stores, t-shirt and souvenir shops, and a working fishing pier, it has the added bonus of boasting a thriving arts scene. The Provincetown Art House has risen to prominence in recent years for being a hotspot for Tony Award-winning Broadway artists to perform their solo cabaret shows. Recent performers include Audra McDonald, LaChanze, and Jessie Mueller, and with equally exciting talent on the docket for this fall, including singer/songwriters Anne Steele, Melissa Ferrick and RuPaul's Race Champion Bianca Del Rio, catching a show here is a must when visiting P-Town.

A piano bar on a PLANE?
It’s no secret that airplanes have become exponentially less roomy and less luxurious in recent years. But did you know that in the early 1970’s, American Airlines’ Boeing 747 had its own PIANO BAR?!
The piano was technically a Wurlitzer organ, but nonetheless, it was located in the rear of the 747-100 cabin, and provided LIVE in-flight entertainment for coach class passengers! Can you imagine?!
