After months of trying Norton wines, we finally made it to the Championship round. All of these are very good Nortons, but Pirtle came out on top! (My personal pick was Stone Hill, but group consensus put Pirtle as the winner!) Next up in our wine challenge is Edelweiss! Stay tuned for that!

We're making our way through as many Nortons as possible, to try to find the best! Threw in a Chianti to shake things up on this blind tasting. After trying about a dozen, so far our favorites come from Stone Hill, Windy, Pirtle, and KC Wineworks. We also like Covered Bridges and Grindstone Valley's a lot. We'll be bringing all of these back for a blind taste-off soon! Who do you think will win?
Paired Covered Bridges Winery "Cedar Bridge" white blend with our pesto shrimp couscous, and it went very well! Semi-sweet with peach, pear, and apple on the nose and palate. This wine is very crisp with a smooth finish. Very tasty! 😊
We love our Midwest wineries! I had a great time at Covered Bridges Winery today. The gal doing the pouring in the tasting room was knowledgeable about the wines and very friendly, and they had some very good wines! Thanks for a nice time!

Soaring Wings Vineyard is the only vineyard in the Midwest that successfully grows Syrah, and it was quite good! We had a lovely visit. It would also make a very nice wedding venue for anyone looking! Check them out!
We had a nice time at 503 Winery in St Joseph last night. They serve only Missouri wines and spirits. We love supporting our local wineries!
