We are seeking an Ecosystem & Habitat Restoration Specialist Consultant to help our team in protecting the critically endangered tamaraw in Mindoro, Philippines. In partnership with Re:wild, the Dโ€™ABOVILLE Foundation, Demo Farm, Inc. (DAF), and the Mindoro Biodiversity Conservation Foundation Inc. (MBCFI), the specialist will contribute in producing a Habitat Restoration and Management Plan of the Core Zone of Presence at the tamaraw at Mts Iglit-Baco Natural Park.

As stewards of these precious ecosystems, it's crucial for everyone to adhere to the regulations set forth to ensure the preservation of these natural wonders.

In the Core and Buffer Zones:
โ–ช๏ธFishing of any kind.
โ–ช๏ธGathering of any mollusks, seaweeds, seagrasses, corals, or any marine animal or plant.
โ–ช๏ธCrossing or wading on foot or by swimming across the area.
โ–ช๏ธQuarrying and extraction of sand and gravel, coral reefs, and other coral formations.
โ–ช๏ธRemoval or transfer of marker buoys without official authorization.
โ–ช๏ธObliteration, destruction, or damage to marker buoys.
In the Multiple Use Zone:
โ–ช๏ธPasturing animals alongside the coast of the Marine Park.
โ–ช๏ธDestruction of trees/plants and other MPA properties.
โ–ช๏ธActs of vandalism and littering.
โ–ช๏ธBurning of degradable and non-degradable wastes.
โ–ช๏ธDefecating or excreting in non-designated areas.
โ–ช๏ธDrinking and eating in the area.

โ๐‹๐ž๐ญ ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐ก๐ž๐š๐ซ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ง๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง๐  ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ˆ๐ง๐๐ข๐ ๐ž๐ง๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐“๐ซ๐ข๐›๐ž, ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐“๐š๐ฎ-๐๐ฎ๐ข๐.โž Tau-Buid community is situated in various Barangays namely Poypoy, Malpalon, Concepcion and Tanyag. They are a subgroup of the general Mangyan culture, living in settlements of five to twelve single-family houses situated on slopes near mountain streams, and named after the oldest resident. The Tau-buid doesn't employ the Indic scripts (Surat Mangyan) used by the Buhid and Hanunoo. Apart from their rich culture, they are skilled in hunting, farming, making wines, and hand-woven products like (nito plates, duyan, pipe, jewelries made from beads) and may more. Thank you Tamisan Elementary School headed by Mam Irine De Guzman for accommodating and helping us be closer with the Tau-Buid Community. #tourismcalintaan #abantebagongcalintaan
