The revamped Museum Without Walls for Ross by createROSS is now launched with 7 sites to see (that’s 4 new ones), commentaries built into the app and a trail around the town for you to follow.

On High Street (from outside the Man of Ross) you can can see the entry to the town as it was on the day George IV came to town. If fact, ... watch out, I think he's coming ...

You’ll need to download the app to your smartphone then scan the sign by the Man of Ross pub. Perhaps stop for a pint while you're there. https://museumwithoutwalls.uk/get-the-app

The Steering Group had an excellent meeting last night. Thank you Royal Ross On Wye for hosting us once again. The programme for this year's events is coming together thanks to all the volunteers who are getting involved. We are very pleased The Ross Gazette and sister papers will be covering the year with a regular, dedicated section. This will help enormously to inform people of what is going on. You can also view the programme as it develops on our website. The next meeting is on 11th February.

... Then this may fit the bill for a discerning Ross resident. A framed (or not) copy of Thomas Wakeman's 1823 map of the parish and / or town. Full details and historical background here: The Friends of St Mary's have recently had this fascinating map scanned and high quality copies are now on sale. If you want it for Christmas though you'll need to be quick as there are only a few left. We'll be doing more print runs but only after Christmas.
