Tal Shoham went with his wife Adi and their children Neve 8 years old and Yael 3 years old to visit Adi’s parents on Oct 6
Who lived at Kibbutz Be’eri
On Oct 7 they were kidnapped and taken hostage from the kibbutz thrown into the trunk of a car taken by Hamas
Since there no room in the car for their grandfather he was shot and murdered by Hamas in front of his family before they were taken into Gaza
They were separated
Tal one way and Adi with the kids the other way
Adi and the kids came back after 55 days of hell in Hamas captivity
Tal is still in Gaza
Gilad and Nitza are Tal’s parents
Gilad was a soldier on my unit many years ago
During the last month I have been following and trying to support Gilad and Nitza
Tal is still in Gaza for over 320 days
The suffer and agony of this family is beyond comprehension
My friends Gilad and Nitza are trying to make their way to the USA to go on a fund raising as the support of the government is slowly fading
They were not able to work snd their life has been broken to pieces

So
In spite of the situation and the on going war in Gaza
Pastor Randall and Melanie Burns decided not to give up their visit to Israel
We made some adjustments to the itinerary and this blessed and beautiful congregation is touring the land of milk and honey
They arrived yesterday and we wish them the best tour ever in the most meaningful time for Israel

רק אתמול הבנתי שטל הוא הבן של גלעד
הפיצו חברים אולי נוכל במשהו לעזור
גלעד יושב רב הזמן במאהל המחאה מול הקריה ואני מאמין שחיבוק לא יזיק לו בימים הללו

מחזירים את טל שהם הביתה מעזה טל שהם , אשתו עדי וילדיהם התגוררו עד לפני שנתיים בקיבוץ בארי בו גדלה עדי. בני הזוג שהם הרגישו כי החיים בצד רקטות ופגזים לא מאפשרים להם לגד....

גדי אייזנקוט הוא אחד מהמפקדים היותר משמעותיים שהיה לי הכבוד לשרת תחתם במהלך השנים הרבות ששרתי במילואים
האיש הצטיין באנושיות כמעט מופגנת באופן שבו נהג בפקודיו בשקט פנימי שמקרין על הסביבה ובתבונה שאת מבקש שתהה במפקד
גדי היה עבורי אחד המפקדים שמעורר כבוד לצאת אחריו כאשר קרא ״ אחרי״
הלב נשבר במחשבה עליו בימים הללו כשהוא קובר בן ויושב שבעה
המשפחה של גדי לא מכירה אותי אבל הלב שלי איתם
