“What’s your favorite resort?” I get asked that question all the time. And, the truth is, it depends on what I am looking for at the time.

And that’s exactly how I helped this beautiful couple choose the perfect resort to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary.

Well, I’m sure she knows now, I mean, after all, a girls gotta pack!

I might be a little behind in my posting 🤦‍♀️ These cuties were married back in September!

Meet Mr. and Mrs. Chilcutt 💕

These honeymooners spent a few days in the beautiful Costa Rica.

But, this wasn’t just any old honeymoon. Before the relaxation began, they wanted to visit with one of their missionaries a couple of hours from San Jose.

It took a little planning, but we made that happen before hopping on a small plane to stay at one of the few all Inclusives in CR.

And, oh my goodness! What a view they had!

If you like an active vacation and don’t mind doing a split stay, then Costa Rica just might be a great option for your next special trip!

Or if just hanging by the pool or beach is your vibe, then, I definitely know of a couple of great AI options.

It’s on everyone’s bucket list! So many islands and so much to see!

And if you want to see more than one of these ⬇️ you will need to do a little island hopping
by ✈️ or 🛳️

I have people doing BOTH in 2025!

For island hopping by ✈️, I usually recommend at least 6-7 nights with a split stay on 2 islands.

With a cruise, I recommend at least 3 days on Oahu before boarding your 7 day cruise which ports at the other major islands with some overnights.

Unless you have unlimited time and 💰 then a cruise just might be the answer and you would get a little taste of all of the islands.

📌 Oahu- Pearl Harbor and Waikiki Beach

📌 Maui- Road to Hana ( black sand beac)

📌 Big Island - Active Volcano and night snorkeling with the manta rays

📌 Kauai- Napali Coast

And , what could be more fun than doing a trip like this with a group of friends!

Anybody else get stressed out on vacation? Do you worry about your littles wandering off down the beach? Are your bigs complaining how “bored” they are after only a few hours? Are you tired of cooking and cleaning up after them in your condo? Is your wallet rubbing blisters on your hands from pulling it out so much? A few months ago we spent a few days at #BeachesOchoRios. This was hands down one of the best vacations we have ever taken. We didn’t have to worry about our littles wandering down a crowded beach. This resort is in a cove it never felt crowded. No one ever complained of boredom because we were all ( even the grown ups) going from the beach the awesome waterpark constantly! The staff at the resort made our kids feel like family and made sure there was never a dull moment. From gourmet dinners, pizza, burgers, ice cream, cocktails, mocktails, steak, French, to Italian you definitely won’t go hungry here and you won’t have to cook or clean up! And, the best thing is we never had to pull out our wallet. Am I spending my kids inheritance? 🤔 Maybe🤣 Why wait until I can’t see them enjoy it? But, I also know how to stack some great promos and use airline points 👏👏👏 for my benefit and I can help you do the same! Think it’s more expensive than your annual trip to the beach in the summer? Maybe 🤔 But, Keep up with your receipts this time and I bet you will be surprised🤷‍♀️ And, right now is the time to get it on the books! This is My Story......

When we vacation, we like to go somewhere “where nobody knows our name” and reconnect with each other. We are empty-nesters, but our lives, like yours, are very busy. So every once in a while we need to just get away from the rest of the world and focus on each other. Our very wise preacher always says, “God first, spouse second, kids third, etc.....” We consider our trips an investment in our marriage.

We never really traveled anywhere other than the traditional “beach” vacation to the Gulf of Mexico a couple of times a year where we would always run into people from back home. When our son graduated from high school We “bribed” him into going on a family trip to St. Thomas, USVI instead of the traditional senior trip. It opened up a whole new world for us!

Since then, we have stayed on St.Thomas (3 times), St. Lucia, Grenada, Grand Cayman,Isla Mujeres (2 times- a little island off of Cancun), and Bonaire (3 times). We have cruised from San Juan to the Southern Caribbean Islands of St. Croix, Barbados, St. Marteen, and Grenada to see which one was our favorite. We have cruised Jamaica, Cozumel, and Grand Cayman.

Over the last few months, I have been praying for God to show me something new at this stage in my life that will bring joy not only to me, but joy to others as well.
