Chef Yia Vangâs deserves fanfare for the flare it brings to the already impressive Minneapolis food scene. His dishes share a unique display of traditional Hmong foods like the pork belly, Khao Sen noodles, and rice pictured. The food is a little expensive. However the flavor, authenticity, and nourished fresh feeling I enjoyed the rest of the day were a nice treat. Vangâs hit restaurant certainly builds a visitorâs appetite for exploring more Hmong cuisine and culture in the Twin Cities.

The first time I visited Lakeside Park I couldn't figure out why there was a vast variety of birds along the shore. Turns out they all stop over from Horicon Marsh National Wildlife Refuge. Pelicans, Cranes, Herins, and swaths of other unique birds hangout along the beautiful shoreline. It's quite a cool spot to birdwatch and enjoy a sun set.
Wisconsin is the largest cranberry producer in the nation. To celebrate the cranberry heritage, Warrens hosts the annual Warren's Cranberry Festival at the end of September. The town population multiplies 10 fold and all sorts of cranberry cuisines are available for tasting. Today is your last day to attend!

The restaurant's founders have been a huge contributor to the success of Wisconsin's annual cycling race . Vintage bikes hang from the ceilings of every restaurant. Belgian and Netherlandish memorabilia line the walls. Best of all, the menu is a classy Dutch American fusion.
First time visitors are shocked this gem isn't a well-known landmark across the US. The Milwaukee Art Museum doesn't get the hype it deserves. The architectural anomaly was Santigo Calatrava's first American commission. He has since designed the Oculus in New York and the O'Hare Global Terminal in Chicago (begins in 2026). The Wings of the Milwaukee Art Museum open to embrace the shores of lake Michigan and scatter light through the strikingly white interior. Wherever you're from, I'd take a trip just to visit .
