I think fall in Eugene is the best time of year there. It’s so beautiful, and there are many activities to do in the area. We have a few open weekends left in September and October, and the Ducks versus Beavers last game ever is still open the day after Thanksgiving in November. Tulip Street Retreat is booked for the UO Spring Football Game on April 29th and the Eugene Marathon on April 30th, so I've turned the calendar page to May to find fun events for you. UO baseball and softball home games occur throughout the month and the UO Twilight track meet is on May 5th. There are also Eugene Emeralds games to check out. One of the things that I find hard about vacation rentals is having to pack groceries on top of everything else. What I love about Tulip Street retreat is there are 3 major grocery stores within half a mile, including Costco, Market of Choice, and a brand-new Winco! Safeway is about a mile away and you can order your groceries for pick up when you arrive. Something else I love is we maintain a beverage fridge with nonalcoholic drinks and Capri Suns for the kids so when you arrive you can enjoy a little something to drink before picking up your groceries. The weekend of March 11-12 is our only open weekend left in March! Events of interest that weekend include the Run for the Shamrock 5k/10k on Saturday, the Suddenly Sleepy Sleepwalk 5k on Sunday, and the Oregon Open Figure Skating Championships both days. I’ll be running the 5K on Sunday, book the house and come shuffle jog with me!

As the snow falls today, I am making Spring Break plans and thinking about sunnier days and family adventures. If you are doing the same, why not consider a trip to Eugene? As Winter turns to Spring, I start thinking about longer days, warmer weather, and baseball. The UO Men's Baseball Team plays against UCLA starting Friday March 10th through Sunday March 12th.
