At Walt Disney World’s version of The Haunted Mansion, the mansion that you enter is a just tiny prop, compared to the massive building that you actually travel through while you’re on the ride!

This is true of many Disney attractions, where the ride itself is actually located in a large, boring-looking building, but they do a great job of making you believe that you’re inside whatever setting the Imagineers created. It’s like a magic trick, and very few attractions create this illusion as well as The Haunted Mansion!

Did you know this about the design of Disney’s Magic Kingdom? 🌸

The castle is designed with forced perspective and Main Street USA is designed to look much longer when walking toward the castle!
When you’re walking towards the exit at the end of the day, perhaps a bit tired, the distance appears shorter.
Most people walk on the right side of the street, you’ll find food shops on the right as you enter for those who are a bit hungry and retail shops on your right-hand so you can hop in for an easy gift or souvenir before departing !

Here are some of the reasons why this resort is one of my favorites:
-It is easy to get around(no hills or steps)
one of the most beautiful spas! Even if you do nt have a service booked..you can use the plunge pools or just relax in the peaceful courtyard! (but I highly recommend treating yourself to a service 😉 My recommendation is to get a body scrub on the first day to set the base for an amazing tan!
The beach is private!!! This is huge as nobody will be there to sell you anything and only other resort guests will be on beach! (and there are long stretches of beach with huts in the water (great for sunrises with mimosa in hand) and an over the water bar that is a MUST to watch the sunsets
The Westmoreland area where the resort is so peaceful and quiet! If you have been to Jamaica but not this area...Its totally different from many other areas like Montego Bay and Ocho Rios (and since the highway was re-done the ride there is much easier! )
My favorite Excursion leaves right from the resort! The Pelican Bar! (you can reserve your spot in advance with your travel advisor!)
All rooms are beachfront and the resort has my fav room catagory..the rondoval! (and they sit on the longest river pool in the Caribbean!) This resort also has those popular over-the-water bungalows!
Limited Availability for this deal! Pay the $98 deposit and you can always cancel for a refund if you need to. But don't pass this price up. Only good until Tuesday!!
