High school seniors whose parents or guardians are NOEC members and who live in a household served by NOEC electric can apply for a $2,000 scholarship to a college, university, or trade school. Four winners will be selected. Entry deadline is April 22, 2024.

Applicant must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with great attention to detail. Must have excellent verbal and communication skills both in person and on the phone. Those with pharmacy or medical experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right applicant on-the-job.

The Grove Convention & Tourism Bureau Ice Rink opens TONIGHT! Cost is just $5/person and includes skate rental. You can also join us for a movie at the rink at 6:00pm each Saturday of the season!

Well I guess I need to make this post since the cat's out of the bag. We are going to be closing the diner down from the end of next month. I want to thank everybody who has supported us. You've made for such a wonderful experience. You felt my diner thrive and grow to a fairly good establishment. I'm sure everybody's wondering what's happened or what the deal is. We have just decided as a family it's time to slow down and focus a little bit more at home. It's time for me to be home in the evenings, it's time for me to see my family. It's been almost 20 years of working 10 to 12 hour days lots of 15 hour days since we opened this diner. When I first started in this business it was such a big deal being a single man. But with a wonderful fiance now and children in the house it's time it's time to focus on them. I don't know about you guys but the last three or four years have felt like they went by faster than just about anything. It's time for us to slow down a little bit. I hope everybody has a wonderful day.
