Two weeks ago I decided that it was finally time for me to go on my dream backpacking trip!
Since COVID is still at large in the world it was difficult for me to pick a destination I was comfortable with… and wouldn’t cost me an arm 💪 and a leg🦵in tests. Mexico fit the spot.
Those beaches and historical ruins won me over in what - 10 seconds?
Telling my manager about my decision was a difficult conversation. A whole week of practicing in the mirror and my heart was still beating in my ears when I pulled them for a chat. I didn’t cry 🥳 but the heavy feeling stayed with me. Even the best decisions have their ups and downs.
Even though I loved the position and the people, there was no way I was going to pass up this opportunity.
It is now 1 month until I fly out so wish me luck and join me on this journey while I share my planning and eventually, the trip! ✈️.
