If, like me you love to walk in the mountains but can't carry a rucksack due to a medical condition, you might be interested in our 'Walking with Packgoats ' tours.
Our boys join us at 8 weeks and stay with us for life. We bottle feed them (as well as giving them a two hour mountain pasture feed every day) until they are 4 months old. This creates a bond between us and it's why they walk with us up mountains untethered. We choose males because they are stronger and no one wants them except the butcher. Our boys come from a semi wild herd in the mountains of Asturias, they are large, strong and very friendly.
Packgoating is a popular activity for exploring the back country in the USA, we are the only company in Spain, there is now a company in Portugal and three in Switzerland. It is the ultimate eco tourism activity, as goats, because they are foragers, benefit the land that they walk on.

After three years of love and training our big boys are now ready to carry picnics, climbers equipment, photographers equipment and overnight bags. We are starting small though and are doing 2.5 hour walks with them. The first is on 27th December. Please visit our website and book a tour to meet the boys.

Hi Everyone, please allow me to introduce our new idea. Earth Works España is a local project trying to resolve a global problem. How, as Humans can we help to prevent the future spread of wildfires? By replacing non indigenous trees with indigenous ones and by learning from the Moorish agricultural engineering, we will be creating a non flammable paradise here in Tarbena. It is a huge project and if it works can be used as a global example. How can you get involved? Please share this post, direct message me with your ideas, buy a tree, share your gardening expertise with us, send us moral support. We don't want any of you to go through what we went through. This is an opportunity for change. Thank you for your help.

We've started to call our farm in Tarbena 'Rivendell'. The fire has exposed the ancient rock faces. Running through the blackened trees the white goats are like unicorns, quite magical.
